'05 Tommie Harris on defense. Sweetness on offense.

Because he's my fav bear ever, and a solid running game w him well see roll through shit

no way you can take 34 in the first, well according to all the peeps who tell me RBs are a dime a dozen. Especially when you can probably pick up neal anderson in the 52nd rd according to the RB devaluation charts.

Richard Dent is the choice. Best Bear Ever

congrats, you have achieved desbro level stupidity.

Now Serious maybe a Cutler fanboy, he isn't even CLOSE to the level of stupidity as desperado. That's a level of stupidity unlike any I've ever seen and no one on this board comes close to it.

If we get the Bears player in his NFL prime with no injury issues then I'll go Orlando Pace and Jared Allen. Build shit from the trenches out.

Probably start with Sweetness just because he is such a complete back and can help you in every phase and also is a ++ in the locker room.

Defense is very hard, but I go Dent probably....maybe Butkus, then Urlacher. Coaches always talk about getting dominant D players as close to the ball as possible. Impact DL are very hard to find. JJ Watt impacts the game so much when you watch a Texans game, it's almost scary.

Briggs would be a lot higher on my list than many on here. Very, very good WILL in coverage. Peanut is in the picture as well in that 2nd tier with Hampton and some others.

Sigh on Mike Brown and Tommie Harris.....this franchise could have had one of the greatest runs on defense in the history of the NFL.
LOL @ "second tier" Hampton. Best player on the 85 defense.

If you want JJ Watt type impact then Dan Hampton is the first name you want on the board.

Urlacher was far more athletic and Butkus and S'tary played at a time when the league wasn't as pass happy.

Butkus was very athletic before his knee problems. The sort of problems that would have been a hiccup in todays game but devastating at his time. I take Brian over Samuri any day because of pass coverage and lateral run support but Butkus could do it all when he started, would intimidate and was best tackler of the bunch. Singletary and Urlacher were always more hitters than wrappers. Butkus did both, engulfed runners and shed blockers like the other 2 can only dream about.

1). How in the hell can anyone say Cutler is the best qb in bears history he doesn't have a ring you can not base this of stats cause todays nfl is different than it was ten twenty thirty years ago.The only thing you can compare is rings because that's the main goal stats are horse shit. Cutler has no rings period he is not the greatest bears qb. In the super bowl era the only qb that has took the bears to a championship is McMahan to say otherwise has no merit the end

2).I like how the thread is pick one player and we have several bears in their posts

3).My pick would be sweetness the GOAT

If Trent Dilfer played for the Dolphins they would have been a dynasty in the 80s and 90s!!!
