Bears hire inexperienced guy. Fans: We need someone with more experience, I’m angry

Bears hire someone with tons of experience. Fans: He hasn’t won everywhere he went, I’m angry.

Bottom line, unless the Bears hire staff that win the Super Bowl every year fans will pick it apart.

I went with Not bad/Ok but haven't a clue. I only chose that one because both out HC and GM played on the line.

I don’t mind the hire. I like the fact that he coached directly under Shanahan in ATL and Wash. Morgan and Getsy should be able to mesh well as both have worked with LaFleur. So there is some optimism in that aspect.

The Steelers OL sucked last year but it was pretty well known that they had shit for talent.

Edit: I can also see Herbert excelling in a zone heavy blocking scheme. His speed/vision should be a good match for the scheme.

But we weren’t able to pry him away, even though it was only a rumor, and the Browns could block it anyway. So it’s proof our new coaching staff sucks!
Just a whole staff full of complete failures! #iwantedtombradyforoc

It must have been because clearly none of the receivers or linemen ever picked it up.

Complicated doesn’t necessarily mean good.

I actually agree that Nagy's offense was probably overly complicated. It was made worse because he couldn't teach it worth a damn.

I remember thinking, the entire offense often looked better in the hurry-up/2min stuff when the coaches were no longer involved. They couldn't be changing personnel groupings, no 10-15 second playcall to say, none of the pre-snap motion, it was just line up and execute.
