No Sega Genesis collection is complete without Earthworm Jim!

I was putting my list in alphabetical order and forgot Earthworm Jim 1-2 :obama:

I would've put the Road Rash games. They were some of may favorite games but I wasn't sure how they aged over the years. Same with all racing games.

Hmm.... The easiest way to do this then, would be to get a dreamcast. You don't need a modchip, and you just burn games onto a CD with the proper loader and emu software. Of course, this requires a PC somewhere, but you could get a friend to do it.

Well, maybe not, while it might be the easiest way to do it, without the hardware, you do need to know how to burn the image onto the CD so it boots correctly, and I haven't kept track of it in a while, so you might need a compatible burner too. But that would open you up to NES/SNES/GEN/TG16/Master System/Gameboy, if I'm not mistaken.

Ironically, they had a Dreamcast at one of the booths too lol. I even laughed when I saw it, mostly in awe than ridicule. I wish I could do as youve stated, would be far easier, and probably far cheaper. But it is what it is. Still love my modern gaming, but it is nice to visit the classics. Just wish it was easy as it is for others lol

Earthbound. I fucking love Earthbound. It's tough to find and extremely expensive. If you ever see it and have the coin, I highly suggest picking it up. I'm a little biased to the SNES. So many fantastic games. Plok, Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals, Kirby's Superstar, Super Mario RPG, etc.

If it wasnt for Zelda, I had found Mario RPG. One store was 35, the other, 59. Ouuuuch. Between the 2 booths, they had a great selection. Thankfully the 2nd booth had some games cheaper, like Ken Griffey Jrs BB for like 5-6 bucks. Didnt expect to spend 30 on just one lol

I never played Earthbound, but I decided to dabble into the Mother series. I'm playing the first game, then I'll play Earthbound. If that's good, I'll play Mother 3.

The only great horror game that I can think of(that has not been mentioned), from PS2/PSX, is the Silent Hill series.

Hey Jysen? Why did you joke about the Dreamcast? Best console ever, and I'm not kidding. You had a ton of truly original games for it that were worthwhile. People still call it the best fighter game system ever, and it's raw processing capabilities weren't better than XBOX or PS2, but the graphics capabilities were better because of the glide programming, which was on par with a big cabinet arcade machine.

Well as I said, it wasnt out of ridicule that I laughed upon seeing the Dreamcast, its more in the nostalgic aspect. I just remember when it came out. 128bits, about a year before PS2 even came out and still it flopped. I never did play on one, so I dont know how it was. To be honest, Im still shocked how it didnt last. And to think Sega was the main competition to Nintendo for so long, and now Sonic and Mario are in olympic sports. How times change, so I cant help but laugh.

Dreamcast didn't flop. 3DFX went bankrupt, nVidia bought the patents and rights to 3dfx, and went after Sega's loose agreement with 3dfx to use the technology. This created a cease production order in many countries, and then nobody wanted to take the risk to make any games for the system. Sega still made a good profit, and it still had a lot of great assets, so they made a change in business and what direction they were going to head into. But of course, this requires most console users to understand the business of chipmakers in the late 90s, namely NEC, who was nVidia's main rival in embedded video solutions. Sega without NEC means a massive headache when supporting backwards compatibility. Without nVidia allowing the permission to use to modified glide, this left Sega in the dust more than anything. Sony having the contracts with nVidia, Microsoft having the contracts with Intel, and Nintendo having the contracts with ATi.

I had/have all 4 consoles, so I never supported brand loyalty in this circumstance, but I did come to appreciate the Dreamcast a great deal. So why I feel it's important to give a reader's digest form of the history lesson.. IDK, but I did, so dealwithit. :D
