Really thought a guy like Ryan Stanton would get the call over Olsen.

This is getting scary. So many injuries and so many new guys up with the team.

And yet the Hawks are still winning their games, or most of them. I don't know how much longer this can last.

Thank god we have actual cap room to make a deal if the injuries continue to pile up.

Injuries + young players + cap space = TRADE TIME

When we have Toews, Kane, Hossa, Sharp, Keith, and Seabrook, we can deal with having injuries to the other players somewhat... but I wish Keith and Kane (especially Kane) would score a little bit more.

I really like Shaw, but someone said that he would be on the top line which is something I was really confused about. I thought he was a bottom 6 type guy. I guess I was wrong.

Injuries suck, but the Hawks have been fortunate so far this year. No reason to complain yet.

Bring on the kids. Showcase some young talent and maybe even get one that can stick for a little while. Youth is good.

And before it happens, please nobody respond with "Yeah, but youth is also inexperienced and often unable to produce immediately." Everyone knows that.

Well the Blackhawks should still play decently through these injuries because they still have their core together (Keith, Seabrook, Sharp, Toews, Hossa, Kane)

I like the youth on the team. It still amazes me that the Hawks continue to win despite the injuries.

Something I don't get is why Ben Smith hasn't been recalled or Pirri. They're the most NHL ready in my opinion and yet they aren't the ones up.

I like Shaw, but not sure if I'm ready for him to be in the NHL.

What injuries...?

They have had a few minor injuries, but nothing compared to the rest of the league. The Blackhawks have been very fortunate this year so far (as a few others have stated).

I don't know. It just seems like there are a lot of injuries because so many young guys have been called up. It's like they can't decide who they want.

I would say because they don't need top end guys. Shaw bring what Carcillo brought. He's not afraid to hit, fight, or agitate the opposing team.

True. I really like what Shaw brings to the top 6. Kind of a Milan Lucic type player.
