At least the Cubs didn't choke this one away. I'll take 1-2.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Minnesota United FC
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Glad Jeff got a win today. It'll be interesting to see how he responds to some adversity later on in the year.

Cubs starters have been pretty excellent so far. Seems like each starter has been better than the last one. Even with a bad offense and a bad bullpen it is amazing how good starting pitching keeps you in ballgames. I doubt we get to enjoy this very much, but it is nice that the early results on that aspect of this team has been that positive.

Starters unfortunately won't always keep the opposition to one or two runs, so the offense and the bullpen do have to step up. I do like that the Cubs could score though. That was good.

They won't go 7 innings plus every time, but this team is starting to remind an awful lot of the 2000-02 era Cubs.

Like I said before the season, I expect the offense to exceed expectations.

Whose expectations? I guess I am just trying to figure out what exactly you are predicting for this offense...

I predicted that they can score at least 70 runs in April  That's as far as I'm willing to go.
