What a stupid article.
We still don’t know how badly Crosby is hurt.
Perfect! Nobody knows how bad he is. Better retire before you find out.
Another gem:
There are no goals left for him in the game.
Mind numbingly stupid.

Unfortunately, there's still a lot of meathead hockey fans who'd question his manliness if he did retire early: "guy quit because he ain't tough enough!"
Nicely said.
If it does come down to the point of him having to retire, then I am sure it will be discussed at that time. We are a long, long way away from that point though.
Nobody knows how bad this is at this point or where it is going to end up. Not even Crosby and the Doctors. Things can change instantly for a concussion victim, and he has plenty of time.
Look kid, you're 24 and you've already done it all. Sure, you could get better or you could get worse. Doctors aren't sure either way right now. Rather than just waiting further and taking all the time you need, you should jump to the conclusion that retirement right now is the way to go.
Trust me. I wear glasses.
From the article:
Back on April 30, when Crosby revealed he'd suffered a setback, Shero said, "The great news is, he's got all kinds of time on his side right now."
That no longer is the case. Camp is right around the corner.
Oh yeah, he's absolutely out of time. If he's not good to go for training camp- all bets are off. He'll be done for good. Career finished.
Good thing he's already accomplished everything a hockey player could want.

Oh, and he is having symptoms again.
With all the research on concussions and the extreme danger of them, to state that he wont retire is just plain stupid. If he is still having symptoms there obviously is a problem.
