Wait, I don’t get it. Why was that guy so super offended by being called by his literal last name?
Was going to post exactly this... he says "you don't know me" to call his by his last name, but "Bernsy" is acceptable? Wtf?So fucking weird. He literally said his last name. I maybe would have expected this if he called him "Bernsy" like he was his pal but wasn't. Should he have said "Daniel Bernstein?"
It's like he pre-meditated saying that no matter what came out of his mouth. Like he was expecting him to call him "Bernsy" but got the script flipped on him and it was too late. Was going to post exactly this... he says "you don't know me" to call his by his last name, but "Bernsy" is acceptable? I don't know what's funnier - A guy getting worked up over someone calling him by his last name, or someone else getting worked up over a guy getting worked up over someone calling him by his last name.
The state of sports radio...
Because the other guy is from Barstool Sports. Bernstein hates Barstool Sports, because they're like a bunch of frat bros, and Bernstein thinks he's an intellectual or some shit. They're all dipshits.Wait, I don’t get it. Why was that guy so super offended by being called by his literal last name?

I'm guessing - and it's only that - Dan has experienced people saying his last name in such a way that he perceives as anti-semitic**. He definitely doesn't care for Barstool, and probably equated Barstool Eddie with some of the racism that can be seen from Barstool (who toe the line) and their followers (some of whom don't care if they leap over the line).Wait, I don’t get it. Now, I do not follow Barstool outside of Big Cat and PFC (who I do think are really good at what they do), but from what I gather, Barstool Eddie is a well liked individual and not the typical Barstool personality. Dan's issue here is that he doesn't want to separate Eddie the guy, from Barstool. Maybe it's a "the company you keep" type thing, whatever. I think being able to separate is the more mature thing.
As for Portnoy, this is an extreme overreaction. This isn't Boers and Bernstein Dan. He's not what he once was.
** I understand that you (not @Adipost, but the global "you") don't think saying his last name can come off as anti-semitic but none of us get to tell a person how to feel.
Yeah, I'm not disagreeing that it was an extreme overreaction. The problem, at least from others I’ve heard that actually watch the show, is that plenty of people have called him Bernstein without the same reaction. Pretty much however you wanna slice it, it’s an extremely poor and very unprofessional look from him.
Why do people hate Barstool?I have not even heard of Barstool Sports. What do they do to get so much hate? Be specific.

Yeah but Portnoy was not part of the interview, Is Eddie an asshole as well? Only one I know from Barstool is Bigcat and he is amusing whenever they have him on ESPN, but other then that dont really pay attention to barstool at all.Idk man, I’m unfortunately on twitter and Portnoy is a POS on there, sure he is in real life too but![]()
In no way am I defending Bernstein, but how the **** could anyone in their right mind listen to Portnoy? What an intolerable dickwad.
