OT. Best sports moments actually witnessed

[The Hawk]

In person:

1. Dave Nicholson hits one over the roof in left center and another almost over the roof in right center. Back when there were still double headers when I was a kid.

2. Aparicio running out into short left center with his back to the infield , catching the ball with his right bare hand when the wind carried it over his right shoulder.

3. Classic fight against the Yankees in which Walt Dropo knocked the crap out of Whitey Ford and Enos Slaughter and Jungle Jim Rivera clocked a Yankee coach.

Others:

1. Wise's catch on Buerhle's perfecto.

2. Fisk tagging two runners out at the plate on the same throw

3. Uribe's play in the stands in "05 last game.

4. Ted Williams last at bat in old Comisky. Home run into upper deck in right.

5. Pete Ward tripping over the 3rd base bag on a pop fly, landing on his ass and the runner getting a double off of it.

Was this suppose to be in attendance or seen it live? I saw it when it happened live on TV but no I was not in attendance.

Another great sports moment was when they re opened the Superdome in 2006. I mean shivers went up and down your body. The whole crowd was one. Then Gleason block the punt against the Falcons and it was the loudest and most electric environment I have ever been in.

talking MOMENTS? In attendance when Dick Allen hit a line shot that almost took Ken Holtzman's head off and carried all the way into the centerfield bleachers, 445 ft away. I think only 4 balls were ever there. Other moment..in attendance at Wrigley in 69 in late August/early September early when Stargell hit a game tying homer and the Cubs lost in extra innings starting the great collapse.

another great sports moment. I am a kid in the first row of the upper deck behind 3rd base. Ron Hansen hits a foul popup that lands in my popcorn/megaphone thing. Popcorn flying everywhere,pile up on the floor, ball on the ground under some guy's ankle, and a hand comes out of nowhere in the pile and grabs it ahead of me. Before the "give it to the kid" days.
