Wow just wow. Has he been amazing in these playoffs or what? coming from a guy who was a 7th man off the bench to contribute like this is amazing.

Yah he is turning out to be a solid player, damn I wish we had someone to instill an attitude in our guys like his. The best part about his shot was how he pushed that kid in the courtside seat and his hat fell off, ha, that was great.

Big Babys brother did the same thing a few years ago in Seattle. Jerome James played great against the Spurs (Ray Allen was his teammate as well lol), and got paid by the Knicks.

Pushing the little rich kid in the front row was one of the greatest things in NBA history.

LOL,

Have to admit it was pretty funny. Especially considering the kid wasn't even in the way, he just did it to stick it to the Orlando fans.

If you look at it, the kid's dad is yelling at the Celtics fan jumping up. Probably pushed the kid because of that. And LOL at the guy in the Lebron jersey and the guy in the yellow Cavs shirt jumping up and down too.

Hopefully they don't knock Big Baby in the media for this. The kid looks to be 13-14, and Baby hardly pushed him.

If you look closely, the kid is about to turn and yell at the jumping Celtics fan, so Davis was just pre-emptively preventing something stupid coming out of a 13 year olds mouth.

There is a pretty big difference though, Jerome James was 29 when he had that good playoff series. He also was coming off of the worst per minute numbers year of his entire career, and his per minute stats had largely been declining already.

It would take a huge idiot to take a guy who was 29, had never been more than a role player his whole career, and actually had the worst per minute numbers of his career and had never played more than 17 minutes per game in his career deserved the full MLE.

Davis may get overpaid by his next deal, but there is at least a legitimate reason to hope that he's going to be a better player in the future as at least he's only 23 right now. However, he does have the same trend of having worse per minute numbers this year as opposed to last year, and is stepping up specifically in the playoffs.

I thought Jerome James was the stupidest signing I'd ever seen at the time. With Davis I think there's a possibility that this playoffs is a stepping stone for him and that he'll go on to bigger and better things.

And that will be his ultimate downfall.

Maybe, but there are a lot of guys who are big dudes who don't eat themselves out of the league. Of course, big baby hasn't actually slimmed down a whole ton and still looks pretty big whereas most of those guys actually transform their bodies.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The father of the 12-year-old boy bumped by Celtics big man Glen "Big Baby" Davis after Sunday's game-winning shot is demanding an apology.

Ernest Provetti told the Orlando Sentinel that he wrote the NBA office demanding an apology from Davis for acting like a "raging animal with no regard for fans' personal safety." NBA spokesman Tim Frank confirmed the league received the e-mail but declined to comment on it.

Video of the play shows Davis ducking behind a referee and stepping out of bounds as he ran back to the Celtics bench. Provetti told the paper it was his son, Nicholas, whose hat fell off as Davis bumped him.

Celtics spokesman Jeff Twiss said Davis was not available for comment. The Magic also declined to comment.

"I'm sorry I hit a game winner over your team and then accidentally bumped you while running around in unbridled joy, in the future when I rip out your heart I will make sure not to knock off our hat as well.

Sincerely,
Glen Davis"

The guys said he was mad because he stepped over out bounds line and gave this classic line "If I step over the out of bounds line I have to give up my season tickets". Really? This seems like absolute crap. Has any who has had courtside tickets ever been told this?

LOL. Classic.

I thought it was absolutely hilarious what Big Baby did. But atleast the dad is only asking for an apology. Remember the guy who was suing Benny the Bull because he tore his rotator cuff saving Benny from taking a face dive down the 300 Level steps? People will do anything to get their name in the paper.

Even though this guy comes off as a whiner and I made fun of him, Davis should probably be suspended for doing that. You simply don't push a fan. That's inexcusable. What if he pushed a big tough fan who then started a fight or threw a beer at him or someone who could have fought back?

However, even worse, he pushed a kid. It wasn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but if he had pushed a big dude, it could have started a brawl like in detroit.
