Why would Asik demand to leave Houston? He couldn't hope for a better back-up than Howard.

Good for him! I hate it when players sell out and go to the Lakers anyways....

I can totally see Dwight Howard proposing to his girlfriend. She's blissfully in tears. Calling everyone she knows beginning every call with "I said YES!!!" Facebooking it. Hugging him. Then 2 hours later Dwight goes "Wait...I don't know about this. Actually I'm thinking of going back to my ex-girlfriend. ...No wait it's okay. No, I'll marry you. ...No wait...wait..."

I'm talking about including those guys money in a sign and trade for Howard.

However the Warriors want to shuffle those contracts out the players have values in the fact that it's a lot of expiring money.

I'm not saying draft picks wouldn't have to be included but painting those players as "worthless" or guys another team wouldn't want isn't entirely true. With their contracts being expiring IMO those guys have some significant value.

I would say I was exactly right when I stated it might take 2 1st rounders to get rid of those contracts.

Wow, great move for the Warriors. They still have cap, right?
Maybe they can go for Howard too?

I think the Warriors made a really bad move.

They gave up a 2014 and 2017 1st round. They gave up their cap flexibility. All they gained is the right to pay AI 12 million a season. AI's high season averages per 36 minutes are 18.1PPG 6.2RPG 6.2 AST. He has not averaged 18 PPG in the last 4 years. He is going to be 30.

The Warriors also have Barnes/Thompson/Curry. They will probably let Jack go now. So the Warriors in affect will let Jack go and 2 1st rounders to they can overpay an aging 2/3 when that is their deepest position.

They might be slightly better this season. Long term they will be worse. They could have done much better with those expiring contracts and those picks.

You also have to remember this is the Warriors we're talking about. They have made a lot of terrible moves over the last 35 years. You have to remember that is the team that traded Robert Parish and Kevin McHale in the 1980 draft for Joe Barely Cares and Rickey Brown.

This is also a team thats drafted a lot of good NBA players, but seems to never be able to put a good team together. They've squandered picks like any franchise as well though.

I wish Golden State would call us and offer Harrison Barnes, Andrew Bogut's expiring deal, and Festus Ezeli for Noah and Gibson. I would literally do that in 1.1 seconds.

Man it must be nice to go on tv and just blabber on about your opinions. Sounds like an easy job to me.

Not Daft, just exactly correct. You made a factually incorrect comment that those contracts had value. That was not the case. Hence, why it took two 1st rounders to move them.
