Plays not starts

51% of plays, but yes, if he starts the first half of the season and the steelers have a winning record I do not see how they bench him for a guy who's 36 and the traits that made him special are gone(mobility)

We need that extra 4th this offseason, whether it be for a dline or oline. Use it to trade up in the first.

Didn't the bears move away from Kyle Orton in week 15 or so for sexy rexy when the Bears were the 2 seed (they also moved on from tomczak to the midget in 86)

It's not like the Steelers offense is humming......and id guess wilson is probably ready by next week....we'll see what happens then if pit is 3-0 and still only scoring 15 points per game

Wilson is trash now tho, and their OL is trash.

Wilson has no mobility left and its what made him special.

If they start 3-0, why the **** would they move on from fields?]

I know you dislike the guy but this is just not how a locker room works. If the incumbent QB is winning and has talent(fields does) you keep him. Wilson is not the future of this team, fields likely isnt either, but he's 10+ years younger and can actually make up for their shit OL

What if they win 10-9 with a defensive td, 1 fg, 190 yards of offense, 5 sacks and 2 turnovers???

It's all hypothetical until the guy is healthy but the point is; they aren't the saints thru 2 games; scoring at will.

Agreed. I wouldn't go as far as to say they have won in spite of Fields but he definitely has gone along for the ride while the defense has dominated. He has not done anything to **** it up but outside of a few great throws, he has done nothing special.

Tomlin could go either way on this. I do think he might be leaning towards Fields but wouldn't be surprised either way.

Last year Wilson got 29TD in 15 games and Fields is on pace for 9.. so Fields really will need to step it up for us to get that 4th.. or RW calf will need to keeps him sidelined

Wow! You guys really don't understand Mike Tomlin. He could care less how many TDs the QB throws as long as he doesn't turn the ball over and they win.

All that Fields needs to do is not turn the ball over and they win. It's going to be tough to do that when they play teams with competent offense, but that is what Tomlin does.

Well, I tend to assume playing 9 games of 17 would be kind of the benchmark goal for hitting that threshold, but yeah thanks
