7 years for Gaborik?! Yikes.

Kings do still have 2 of their compliance buyouts to use but, man, they've got a lot of money locked up with some serious FAs coming up soon, including Kopitar, Williams, Clifford, Pearson, Toffoli, Martinez, etc.

This is the last year to use up those 2 "free" compliance buyouts and they must be used by June 30th. I would expect, at this point, that the Kings will not be using them. Richards is really their only candidate and they already publicly stated that he will not be bought out - even though I suppose things could have changed with this signing, but likely not.

7 years at $4.9mil cap hit according to Lebrun twitter. A steal of a cap hit, but clearly the years are what the often injured Gaborik was going for. Solid deal for the Kings.

Yeah, good for this year. But they got some big problems coming up next year with about 50 mil tied into 10 guys and some pretty important pieces looking at raises. They better repeat because after this season it could resemble the 2010 Blackhawk debacle.

Looks like they're going "all in" in 2014-15.

They'd never do it because he's the captain, but Dustin Brown doesn't do much for that team anymore.
