Just got caught up a few weeks ago, on a manic spree watching all of the past seasons. DAMN. That's one intense show. While I really enjoyed TRUE DETECTIVE, and I dig JUSTIFIED and MAD MEN, GAME OF THRONES is definitely my favorite show on television right now. Can't WAIT for it to start back up.

THOUGHTS?

Yes. Second/third only to Sopranos and the Wire.

Fourth to I'm Alan Partridge.

Sopranos, The Wire, The Shield, Six Feet Under, all great. GOT is in the mix, have to see how it ends, but it's in my top five ALL TIME for sure, right now.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
There are a few shows I follow religiously right now and GoT tops the list. Before, Spartacus was right up there until it ended. The only other shows I make sure I never miss right now are Vikings and Suits. If were including "reality" TV then Gold Rush and Bering Sea Gold too.

I highly recommend the books. They're even better than the shows in my opinion because you get a bit more of an in depth analysis on a lot of characters. Little Fingers and Varys are much more important than the show portrays and also the book is much further ahead than the show is. The fifth book is absolutely amazing and I'm just eagerly waiting for the 6th, hoping the dear God that George R.R. Martin doesn't die before he finishes the story since he's a decrepit old man now.

I remember starting a thread on the Packers and why we can't beat them and was harassed about it should be in the rivals section, and this was bears only. And then it got moved.

It's because if you start a thread in any other section, you only get like 5 views.

If we're talking about shows that aired in the past year, it's not in the top-20.

If we're talking about all-time, it's not in the top-50. I don't know if I'd put it in the top-100.

Has anyone ever seen Black Sails on Starz?? Wondering if that was any good as it looks real interesting.

It's just ok. It could be great, but I don't think they have the money for sea battles.

+1 on the GoT books (called the Song of Ice and Fire). Reading A Dance with Dragons now. I've never seen an author who so actively hated all his characters. :)

Right now, the show I look forward to most is probably The Walking Dead.

Suits is pretty good. However, the first episode of this season was pretty meh. Also, it's never good when they actually talk about the law, they should just continue on about politics and whatnot, avoiding the issue of the law when ever possible.
