Seriously, panicking about Oden signing with the Heat is just... not logical. Yeah, the Heat may win the championship again but it certainly won't be because of Oden. Stop acting like he is the missing piece the Heat were desperately looking for.
If the Bulls had a, let's say 40% chance of beating Miami in the Playoffs without Oden, this number stays the same with him on the roster.

I get this weird feeling Oden returns to his previous form and is healthy the entire year and the Heat basically beat the crap out of everyone.

But, just a feeling. Obviously Oden has a lot against him.

I think most logical people would say that Greg Oden obviously has a lot of talent, and could be a very good basketball player. But I just can't think of anything that he has done in the league thus far to warrant anything close to a discussion of him being some major difference maker. Especially when he picked a team that just won their second championship in a row.

People are totally sleep on what the Pacers did. I would much rather have Scola replacing Hansbrough than Oden replacing Anthony. Not even close. The Pacers might have snatched the division away from Chicago with that move.

Agreed. Very underrated move.

Oden has stated that one of the main reasons he decided to go to to Miami is that Riley told him they weren't going to need him at the beginning of the season, meaning he won't be rushed through his rehab. If his time stays limited to around 20 minutes per night, he and Chris Andersen could provide a nice 4-5 combo off the bench for Miami. Not many NBA benches have that kind of rebounding and shot blocking ability coming in.
Won't be rushed in his rehab? He hasn't played in the league in nearly FOUR years (Dec., '09)! If he's not ready to go right now, that should tell you that he has no shot to help them. I really liked the kid coming out of OSU, but he is DONE. Guys don't come back after four years out of the league due to serious injury concerns - just not going to happen...Miami's grasping at straws here because they're so desperate for a post.

Agreed...this move benefits Greg Oden far more than the Heat. He can get his customary slew of knee and leg injuries with minimal work, put on a suit on the end of the bench, and still have a shot at a ring.

It's really hard for me because Greg Oden is Indiana born and raised and is one of the best high school players in our state's history, so I naturally root for him and hope he comes back and dominates. If he does come back healthy it's over though :crying: I wish he would have gone to another team

It might just come down to matchups in the playoffs.

If Pacers play Heat, and beat them, I like our chances against the Pacers moreso than the Heat..
