The Reds are on the hook for $86 million for a guy who may never be a TOR starter again and will miss at least a year. You have to wonder how this affects what they do this year. Does help them to make a decision hang on in the race longer as long they stay .500 or better, knowing this probably is the end of their windwo, or do the pull the plug early and start a full on rebuild?

I doubt they can afford to retain Cueto. That dude will command 200+ mil and I'm not buying that the Reds have the market to support it. I see them selling this year.
