This is one of the strangest football situations I have ever witnessed. Can someone who follows either of these teams provide some insight?

Mariota is very average and injury prone. Tannehill reminds me of Mariota but less athletic IMO. Not sure what both teams are thinking.

Don't think it has anything to do with Mariota's ability. They now have a backup with a similar skill set for when the starter breaks. The idea is to not blow the season over a ding.

Dolphins have every intention to tank; their owner pretty much said this when Gase was fired. Tannehill will be the backup to the oft-injured Marriott's and since they both suck, there will be no dropoff when Marcus inevitably gets injured.

Not buying it...Audis are for people who need other people's approval.......and soundbars are half-assed....I prefer full home theater set ups

One question I have is, if you're the Titan's GM, how many more seasons do you keep Mariotta around??

Titans sign Tanehill from Miami, joining Marriotta. Who's the Dolphins QB going to be?

Titans GM, Robinson, said he spoke with Tannehill and made it clear that he is the backup, while Mariota is the starter. He said Tannehill’s job is to help push Mariota.

Isn't that a contradiction? You don't make it clear somebody's a backup by then telling them they are there to push the "starter".

This is why I want to see Trubisky have a big year next season.

Both Mariota and Jameis Winston had their options picked up for around $20MM for 2019.

They will probably resign both of them next year. Could you imagine spending that much money on average QB play?

I don't want to be in that position where there is a strong argument for letting a guy go, but you're more than likely going to resign them.
