Saw this question asked on Around The Horn today and wanted to pose the same question to you. What say you, CCS? Is Rose the most clutch player in today's NBA?

As long as he´s not at the FT-line! :D

I would put at least Kobe, Durant and Anthony ahead of him! Chris Paul is also clutch as hell!

Found that quote on bulls.com:

Sam Smith said:
Great players don’t always make potential game winning shots. But they take them!

Rose isn't the most clutch, but he has to be up there on the list. I'd take Kobe, Durant, Dirk, and CP3 above him to name a few.

I'd say he's more clutch than Lebron though. :smug: :troll:

Today? Maybe. This season, Maybe. A lot of clutch players have fallen off this season and even LeBron is doing okay in the 4th this year(just not quite gold standard).

But damn, Rose has been hitting buzzer beaters in the last 4 games like a madman. 1st qtr, 2ndqtr, bam bam bam... plus the last minute shots that are sinking for him. Yes, he belongs in the conversation.

A year or two ago I would have said Kobe, but currently, Rose is certainly at the top of the list of players that come to mind!

I think they said Rose was 3-3 on last second shots or something like that.

Rose isn't my answer... but these numbers are interesting.

2. In 2011-12, in the regular season and playoffs, in the 4th quarter or overtime, 0:24 or less left in quarter, scoring margin between -3 and -1 point, shot to tie or take lead, sorted by descending Field Goals.

50.0 FG% (2 FGM - 4 FGA, 4-1 record)

3. In 2011-12, in the regular season and playoffs, in the 4th quarter or overtime, 2:00 or less left in quarter, scoring margin between -3 and 3 points, sorted by descending Field Goals.

these numbers don't include the last week. Got this from another forum when I was googling something

3-3 on shots taken with less than 5 seconds in the game. Last night was his first buzzer-beating game winner of his career.

Of course he is one of the most clutch players right now.I can't say if he is #1,#2 or #3.You can't rate this.It is only the guys who can make it often and the guys who can't.Drose is one of them who can.

For sure he is more clutch than Wade. But I can't tell if he is more clutch than Durant Kobe or Dirk.

That shot against Houston was a game tying shot right?
