I'm not sure they'll get it. From what I've read, funding for a new stadium isn't in the cards for Long Island right now.

And **** KC... Canada should get more teams first of all and if any more teams move and it ends up being in the US, Wisconsin and one of the Dakotas would be much more appropriate.

KC isn't a hockey market -wasn't when I was there for 16 years -I have never heard any real reason to believe that has changed since 2006.
The do have a special interest group there that is paid to market the idea - they were pretty active a few years back -but seem to have sorta I guess backed off.
I think the Sonics opting for OKC showed them what leagues thought about the KC market... not too much.

I doubt there are enough people in the Dakotas; Milwaukee is the only real option in Wisconsin -and the Hawks would have a say in that -as I think there is some sort of NHL by-law where teams within 90 miles or so have a say in it.

I hope it isn't Houston. I'd end up torn and that would suck. I hope it isn't Hartford either because that was my team before they hauled ass. I'm good with one of the Canadian cities getting a team or KC, tho I think KC would probably fail miserably.
