OT: Islanders & Blackhawks Trade Scenario

You would probably see O'Donnell and Lepisto be a fixture in the lineup then, with Scott as the #7 guy. Not something we want to do. Or you see a sign or trade (hell McCabe is still available for some reason) - but I just don't see this happening.

I feel pretty comfortable saying that Hjalmarsson will be on the team for the whole year. Scotty Bowman loves him, hell he compared him to Lidstrom - right or wrong, he compared him to Lidstrom.

Yeah, if Bowman likes someone he'll keep him. He likes Hammer.

I'd trade a guy like Brian Connelly for someone like Gaustad.

No, not the #2 center answer but we solidify the center position where as Connelly would get a crack at the NHL.

Makes no sense...Gaustad is a 3-4 Center....we have the perfect 3rd line center in Bolland who we could play there if we COULD...we cant however, because he has to play 2nd line...


long story short, we dont need any more low line centers...we need a #2
