I always find it funny that he's so popular. He sings the anthem in a kind of ultra-straight laced, ultra-sober, military style. It's almost like something from a totalitarian regime.

Give me a flamboyant diva who takes 10 minutes to sing the last line over 4 octaves any day.

No. When we can't afford to feed, educate and shelter our poor, we don't need to be wasting hundreds of thousands of dollars on a stupid fly over for a sports event. If they want a fly over let the NFL pay for it, not the taxpayer.

I assume that you mean this for every other NFL team but the Bears, right?

For Chicago, Cornelison is the gold standard for National Anthem singers. If he ain't your cup of tea, fine...step aside and allow the masses to get what they want. I won't go as far as suggesting that you move to LA.

In virtually all sports, there's an advantage to playing at home. In football, that advantage is at its greatest since rabid fans can actually disrupt an opponent's offensive communications. Cornelison makes Chicago fans more rabid. All good.
