Address what point? That the Bears will get a high draft pick? Guess what. the Lions have two. And the reality is, yes they are much closer to reaching the SB than the Bears. If either one does, remains to be seen.
The lions won’t have 2 high picks

ANY first round pick is a high pick, they also have two seconds.
I thought you meant 2 high 1st round picks. Like 3rd & 10th

Believe it or not being a middle of the pack team does not necessarily make you closer to a SB contender.

Obviously the bears are bottom of the league, as most would have predicted going into the season. I don't see why you come here 'dunking' on people as if any person with a brane predicted otherwise. I certainly expected last in the division for the bears. I thought the lions would be 3rd but with the packers complete implosion the lions are the clear 2nd best team.

The lions do not have a path to the SB. The defense is mediocre. The offense can put up points but I certainly wouldn't bet on Goff.

Having a high draft pick does not secure a franchise QB. Just look at the browns, the 9ers drafting lance, the jets with wilson, the bears for fucks sake ...

The lions are a decent team, far better than the bears. Thanks for pointing out what everyone already knows. If you want to dance around for being the tallest midget though, its pretty comical.

I call it his moral victories. it's like burning someone on Twitter, it really doesn't mean anything. it might be teehee!!11 funny now, but nothing's going to change because of it. if Lions make the playoffs they'll be in and out like shit through a goose. after the Bears game today I think I can pinpoint more accurately that their offensive line and receivers (both were called in the offseason about 9 months ago as each being the worst units ever, for posterity) need significant upgrades. spend whatever's left on bolstering the defensive line and those alone should get the Bears to the next level in theory. they won't be able to go deep in the playoffs yet but they'll do a lot better than 3 wins and about 6 extremely close losses.

You mean like the double doink Bears? TBH, I really don't care if the Lions make the playoffs, they have exceeded my expectations for the year, and I see a young core of players that will be a force to be reckoned with in the future. Add to that mix 4 picks in the first two rounds, and a decent amount of cap next year and they should be contenders.

Right now the Lions are clearly the best team in the North, even though their record doesn's show it. Minnesota is a team built on make beleive. Goff is playing the best footbal of his life, his past struggles have no bearing on what his future holds. No, he will never be the back yard scrambling maniac that Fields is, but that shit only last so long for and QB that expects to have a long future in the NFL. While yes, Fields do has the physical tools, arm strength to be elite, what he still fails to show his ability to quickly read a D and make the right decisions, in a timely fashion. His high passer rating is in part boltserd by the fact he doens't make many of the tough, quick, anticipation throws neccessary for sustained success.

Lions do manage some impressive wins from time to time against way better teams though. they've shit on the Packers heads a few times the last decade, a team the Bears regardless of 5 coaching staffs haven't been able to achieve.

Well to be fair, it’s debatable considering just how bad the North is. Only division that might be worse is the AFC South. Being the best team in the NFC North still means you are a shitty team. Packers will clean them up in week 18 since they might have a playoff chance.

Issue with the lions since I've been watching foozball is they aren't consistent worth shit.

And the only coach that made them semi-consistent they fired to hire a fat turd.

The Lions made great improvements this year. It's fun to make fun of them because they choked this week and always choke whenever they show the smallest of progress. But if you would have told me at the start of the year that they hover around 500, I would have thought you were nuts.

Okay, that is all true and awesome.

But this is the lions:

You see a lot of L's? Because I do.

Last playoff win? 29 years ago.

1 Playoff win in 65 years.

Let that sink in.

You say all this and the Lions push out a huge turd a few days later.

Sorry, but I think the Lions will always be the Lions.
