Let's wait until more info comes out (See, Duke-Lacrosse incident, Martin-Incognito, etc) before making final judgement. But whether the fan used the N word or not what Marcus Smart did was unacceptable. Unless a player reasonably believes he is somehow in danger there is absolutely no excuse for committing intentional harmful contact against a fan. Anyone saying differently is not being objective. Any suspension under 5 games is too lenient. If the fan did use the N word then Texas Tech should ban him from attending games for multiple seasons.

The shove was no big deal really, you're right...
but I guess it has to be portrayed as a big deal to not become the normal thing. Just like if you work in retail, you can't push a customer no matter what they call you or you're gonna be the only one getting any type of real punishment.

This "superfan" supposedly says annoying shit to piss people off all the time. Honestly he probably deserved more than a shove but you need to show restraint. Weather he likes it or not, he's a role model and that's just a bad look. You can't just lose your temper like that.

In a statement, Orr said he regrets calling Marcus Smart a "piece of crap". Highly doubt something like that would illicit such a flagrant response.
