Old Style is one of those beers you try when you first start drinking to see if you like it.
It was the first beer I tried and I like it.
Easy solution to high beer prices@Wrigley used to simply be replacing carry-in bottled water with a good quality vodka.
They never checked, and it made watching a shitty team much more tolerable.
I saw someone with a flask molded in the shape of binoculars once at a Raiders game. It was the greatest thing I had ever seen up to that point.
Do they still allow carry-in food/drinks@Wrigley?...saves a ton of $$. The worst stadium I recall for bringing in anything was the old Marlin/Pro-Player. Back in 03' they made me open and pour out a sealed bottle of water.
Then they let me keep the empty bottle...and then the Cubs collapsed.
I brought in my Subway meal in full view of the ushers about two weeks ago and didn't have a problem. Maybe they relaxed a bit.
I think it's the only ballpark left they still allow it?, 9/11 changed a lot of policies. When I was much younger, we could bring thermoses into Soldier Field and such. Almost forgot to add, you're too good of a writer to be wasting all that talent on the Northside.
Haha, most of the guys who cover the Northsiders in the media suck. Someone has to pick up the slack.
I think the Rays allow outside foot in their ballpark. Part of improving fan relations. They also aren't as big of Nazis when it comes to seating, so they'll allow fans to occupy empty sections no matter what. At Wrigley the seat Nazis won't let me into the infield box seats but I can get about as close as the 100s methinks.
People who say old style, miller, bud, coors are good and have a distinguished taste clearly haven't tried beers that are actually worth buying and trying.
I would probably be more willing to pay $7 for a cold glass of Guinness or Sam Adams or some other specialty beer than whatever them vendors are peddling
