As much as I love Iggy's game, I don't know much about the long term problems with his tendinitis.

They wont take Boozer, which leaves little space for us to match salaries in a realistic trade. I would actually play Iguodala at the 2 on the Bulls. The insanity of Deng and Iggy on D together would be awesome to watch, despite meaning that we further ignore our offensive problems.

That would be somthing interesting from a defensive standpoint, and Iggy is a better scorer than any 2guard we have now. Loul and Iggy together would be prety dam good. Plus with Deng recovering from his surgery, Iggy would fill his void before being moved to 2guard when Deng returns.
I could see Iggy getting us 15 a game easily on our Bulls squad.

I would play Iggy at the 2 as well... but yeah.. who would we offer that they would want? They wouldn't want Boozer.. we wouldn't give up Noah or Deng..

Maybe Brewer + [sign an T]Asik + a pick for Iggy? We wish.

Idk.. I think they would want Noah or Deng. That wouldn't be worth it for us because it wouldn't make us better at all.

I'd be interested.

Though I bet if by some miracle we did get him, he'd injure himself immediately or be so bad offensively that we'd rage anyway. Iggy never has been a dominant scorer...but he is a playmaker nonetheless, so I say go for it.

Would Deng for Iggy be a good deal for us? We'd definitely improve defensively imo because Iggy is just a far more dynamic of a defender than Deng. Athleticism and whatnot is all in his favor. But he's not much of a scorer or a shooter so we lose that. Does the defense outweigh the lack of scoring? Not totally sure...

Iguodala is not as limited as Deng is offensively. Iggy can...you know...dribble???? Iggy is also better at running the court and he can create a shot for himself better than Deng can. The problem I have is that his FT% has dropped from 82% to 62%...that is absolutely horrible. That won't help a team that is already horrid from the line.

Exactly, Iggy doesn't have to look down at his feet to dribble a basketball.
When Deng dribbles, he looks like a gradeschooler just learning. Somtimes I have to close my eyes because it looks like Deng is going to drop the ball or bounce it off his knees into the crowd of fans.
Also Iggy isn't scared to finish during a fastbreak, unlike Deng who looks hesitent at times to finish..Somtimes when Deng gets to the basket, it looks like he changes his mind or can't decide to pass back or dunk and then panics missing pointblank range layups...

I can see two possibilities of Iggy at the 2.

The first is that it works fantastically. We have a defensive monster of a starting lineup (assuming Deng is still there as well) and his ball handling and creating ability end up being exactly what we need. Iggy's percentages go up because he's getting better looks by playing with Rose and our offensive is hardly ever stagnant. This one is probably unlikely because...

The second possibility is that Iggy's shot making ability and lack of shooting result in us having the same problems we've had. Iggy will end up shooting as terribly as ever and everyone will complain about trading for him because he only averages around 12 points per game, can't shoot 3s, and now can't make free throws either.

For some reason I see that second possibility as far more likely, but who knows?
