We need a starting PG and a player who can replace Boozer's pathetic ass, Josh Smith, has requested a trade. But we can first talk about everyone else who will be a minor improvement for the Bulls or not improvement at all. Hibbert, Iggy who is next?

I truly love Iggy. But he won't give the Bulls something much more than Deng. 2 completely same level players. Iggy can dribble, Deng can shoot, both of them great defenders. Imo Deng is more valuable for the Bulls and there is no need to trade him except if it is be for a superstar.

Not sure how much of an upgrade offensively Josh Smith would be over Boozer, but at least he can play defense...

Josh Smith plays dumb...Boozer does play within himself offensively. If anything, Boozer seems to be hesitant to take chances. Smith plays at times like he is the only guy on the court. He is very athletic and can get up and down the court...but at times goes out of his way to try and take over games...and he fails miserably.

I don´t think there is any chance we get Iggy and keep Deng.

Sixers would have to take Hamilton and I can´t see that.

Which is exactly why I'm not sure how much of an upgrade he would be. He's got the tools to be better than Boozer, but not the brain.

Agreed. But he would be a great improvement over Boozer. If Smith was perfect we would have no chance to trade him with Boozer. lol

And allow me to say that Boozer is not the most clever guy out there.

Watching Game 6 of the Hawks-Celtics series, I believe it was Smith who took an extremely ill-advised shot with quite a bit of time left on the shot clock near the end that basically killed any last chances they had.

That shot, along with many others I saw during the season just reassure your thoughts about how dumb he plays. He's got a lot of talent. It's just a shame his decision making doesn't match his talent level.

Exactly, Iggy doesn't have to look down at his feet to dribble a basketball.
When Deng dribbles, he looks like a gradeschooler just learning. Somtimes I have to close my eyes because it looks like Deng is going to drop the ball or bounce it off his knees into the crowd of fans.
Also Iggy isn't scared to finish during a fastbreak, unlike Deng who looks hesitent at times to finish..Somtimes when Deng gets to the basket, it looks like he changes his mind or can't decide to pass back or dunk and then panics missing pointblank range layups...

But I thought Luol Deng was King Deng? :dunno:

Exactly. The thing I can't stand is that people only view Boozer thru his contract. He's playing a role on this team people. Sure he's overpaid (more than 80% of this league is), but he's played his role to near perfection this season, shooting 53% from the field, and averaging close to his career numbers per 36mins, yet people still act like he's utter garbage.

Both Smiths (JR & Josh) I've followed since their appearances in the McDonald's All-American game in 2004. And with both of these players I've been :smh: over the years. Tremendous talent but no basketball IQ to match. It really irks me when players so incredibly gifted coast along in the NBA solely on their athleticism & never actually put the hard work in to become a great player in this league.

I believe iggy would be perfect for the bulls. He can score off his own shot, is an amzing defender and love to pass the ball which mean he wont interfere with rose. The bulls just dont have the resources to land him

Yeah, the kid has so much potential and us NBA fans have been saying this for several years now. I wouldn't mind him with Chicago, he plays defense which is something our coach embraces and his dumb shots and low IQ can be straightened out with Thibs for sure.
