How's Seabrook deal at 5.8 cap hit looking now?

Erhoff: $4.0 (with ridiculous lifetime contract)
Keith: $5.3 (with ridiculous lifetime contract)
Wisinewski: $5.5
Seabrook: $5.8
Weber: $7.5 (get kicked in the nuts one time fee)

Hawks know what they're doing.

edit: Rinne next year? Oh shit, that's not going to be cheap (rightfully so). Nice to see Nashville get a taste of what it's like being a successful hockey team. We'll see if everyone still strokes their team management **** after next offseason.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
Ryan Suter & Pekka Rinne are both UFA's after the season..ouch.

Get ready for a massive salary dump in Nashville after next season. Along with Weber, the Preds window just had some signifigant closure. Its basically now for them.

They could get a nice haul for Suter. (they have d-men like Josi & Ellis)

Guys like Rinne don't grow on trees.

They do have a slight positive in the fact that they have a Mini-Me Rinne (or Baby Rinne) as their backup in Lindback. I wonder if he's going to see more action this season.

This Weber thing should make people realize how awful the Brian Campbell contract is.
Weber's cap hit: 7.5M
Campbell's cap hit: 7.1M

If anything, all the recent crazy D-Man overpayments have made Campbell's deal seem a little less insane.

Put a gun to my head and say Wiz at 5.5 or Campbell at 7.1 and I'd actually take the Soup.

True. I would take Soupy and that contract over Wiz and his contract. I was just saying that Weber, the best D-man in the league's cap hit is only 400K more than Campbell's who isn't even close to the best, but is pretty good.

I resemble that remark.
