Ru serious? A $2,500 fine? Using that logic, Jonathan Toews definitely sould not play tonight because Rafi Torres will kill him.

Thought he'd get a game.

The fact that he made the move twice really sold me on that idea. It wasn't an accident... he went back for seconds.

That's pretty weak. I understand its the playoffs and there is a little more leeway... But it is a blatant slam of the head. I thought he could see two but at least one game.

Whatever i just hope the two teams beat the shit out of one another, so come later rounds easier road for the hawks.

I did, too. I figured it would be between the fine and 1 game. The people who were calling for more were out of their damn minds.

What's the point of fining a player 2500 if he makes millions every year? That wouldn't make me stop

Max amount that the NHL can fine a player. I agree that it is pretty useless, but I'm sure the NHLPA has no issue with their players keeping more money in their wallets.

No injury = no suspension. Dangerous precedent.

He cracked Zetterberg's helmet

according to nbc sports zetterberg is claiming that. id like to see the actual helmet. was it a piece that chipped or a full out crack??? i need to see the helmet. was there malicious intent? yes. but so are 1000 things in a game that happen that go on in a game. no injury as well. now look at it this way, a clean full body check into the boards on z by weber is a lot more harmful to the body that his little love tap head smack with no momentum of speed from skating. was it cool of him to do? no it was silly. but not suspension worthy. it was a good call on that.

Had he done that in the regular season, he would've been suspended.
