according to nbc sports zetterberg is claiming that. id like to see the actual helmet. was it a piece that chipped or a full out crack??? i need to see the helmet. was there malicious intent? yes. but so are 1000 things in a game that happen that go on in a game. no injury as well. now look at it this way, a clean full body check into the boards on z by weber is a lot more harmful to the body that his little love tap head smack with no momentum of speed from skating. was it cool of him to do? no it was silly. but not suspension worthy. it was a good call on that.

I paused it towards the end.

My goodness I like Weber, but that was a fucking cheap shot to the back of Zetterberg's head.

I hate the guy but good for Bertuzzi for dropping the gloves with Weber.

Every time I think the front office of this league can't possibly be more fucked up....they go the extra mile. All year long Shanahan has been dealing with these head shots with an iron fist...now just when the everything on the ice is turned up another notch for the playoffs, he goes soft? WTF is wrong with these people? Are they waiting for a career ender before they step up? I swear that asshole Bettman will kill this league before he's done.

I just don't see how this is less vicious than any of the flying elbows/shoulders to the head that we've seen all season.

This is a blow to head. Add to the fact that nothing even closely related to a "hockey move" was involved. He grabbed a guy by his head and tried to slam it off the boards as if there was a turnbuckle in the corner.

And Weber actually did it on the 2nd attempts because it looked like his gloves slipped the first time he tried it.

How the **** is that merely a fine?

Apparently this kind of thing happens in every level of the Preds' organization ...
