Usually, nail fungus occurs when fungus enters the nail through a small trauma (cut or break) in the nail. Nail fungus is not caused by poor hygiene. Derp

Besides you cherry picked a piece of that article to almost fit your point read the rest and you will see exactly what I told you weekend immune system I have CVID common variable immuno deficient. I do not produce iron or protein and my blood cell count is jacked , tis why I get injections every month, combined with any other factors like working at a cnc with coolant leaks everywhere (coolant that doesn't pass the refractometer) but we still use for some reason even though half of it is contaminated. Or maybe it's the locker room at my gym where I work out everyday ( your fat ass should try it) bottom line stop being a knowitall mouth breather the act is tired and makes you look like an arrogant piece of shit..

It does cause much more than skates, cleats or boots causing it, ideal conditions are moisture and warmth. You're actually more likely to get it if you go barefoot a lot. Wearing dirty socks and shoes for prolonged periods also a major cause.
