Holy crap. I thought he was just holding out for money the other day. Wonder how that’ll shake up his draft stock… he’s supposed to be the top guy assuming Arch doesn’t come out.

He isn’t coming out since he’s only a sophomore(could be wrong). He flatlined as last year went on, I think Tennessee is better off without him.

Oh wtf. I saw him ranked as one of the top QBs in the 2026 class and was thrown off. That’s what I get for not verifying.

Arch can technically come out, but its not the manning way.

I'd expect him to spend 2 seasons starting at Texas. Then again if he's the #1 OA unanimous pick it may be hard to remain at texas.

Actually you are correct. He’s a redshirt sophomore. So he can be coming out next year. Regardless, unless he shows some drastic improvement, I wouldn't touch him in the first few rounds. I believe he also ran out of bounds to lose the game(on 4th and goal) to Arkansas or some lower tier SEC program.

Yes. Other QB’s got more money than him this year(Beck) and he considered himself better than them. His Dad was the one that spearheaded this.
Imagine how it must feel to watch how terrible Carson beck is then be part of giving him $4 million to be equally bad for your team (or probably worse)

It’s a broken system.
They need to fix this portal madness ASAP. I love to see these kids making money but this makes no sense.

I've basically been expecting Raiola to leave since the second he signed. If they actually get a 2nd season out of him, I'd consider it an upset.

I feel like they’ll find a way to change the system. College players hold a lot of leverage with multiple transfer portals a year. NFL guys are cost controlled for years and also can be tagged.

The transfer portal is out of control. Players just leave after each year to go to the highest bidder. Can’t blame them in a lot of instances, but it’s fucking up the sport and their development.

“bUt cOaChEs LeAvE aLL tEh tiMe!”

Coaches don’t go to 4 teams in 4 years on rotating one-year contracts, which is ridiculous,

Several things could help:

*Bring back the sit-one-year rule when transferring.

*Limit each player to one transfer in their college career.

*Chill on the NIL. Everyone on the team gets a max of $100,000 (or whatever). Wouldn’t solve everything, but it would keep players from hopping between Power 5 teams if they’re going to make the same amount anyway.

This is all, of course, fantasy. The genie’s not going back in the bottle.
