Excerpts on Deadspin here.

All conjecture and hearsay surrounding this. Example including:

There were still a few games left on the schedule before the end of the season, and the standings could potentially change. But on that day in Oakland, Bavetta looked at me and casually stated, "Denver will win if they need the game. That's why I'm on it."

I was thinking, How is Denver going to win on the road in San Antonio? At the time, the Spurs were arguably the best team in the league. Bavetta answered my question before it was asked.

"Duncan will be on the bench with three fouls within the first five minutes of the game," he calmly stated.

This was concerning Dick Bavetta, which is impossible to confirm. I understand the meatballs love to constantly blame the referees (and you can find numerous examples in gameday threads in the Bears forum), but when teams on good nights only make 45% of their shots I just don't understand how the refs can affect a game in that regard.

After reading those experts on deadspin, I've concluded that Donaghy is the referee version of Superhead

7:57 left in the third and Hibbert called for his 5th foul...but there's no corruption amongst officials.

They can ruin rhythm and stop any runs a team may go on.....they can also help start a run. Putting early fouls on stars, can make those players play cautious and ruin the natural flow of the offense. Out of any sport NBA refs can have the most impact.

You make a fair point, and I don't mean to suggest that any of that is wrong. I'm just saying when you're not shooting well, you're not going to win regardless of how the refs act. Just my thing here.

Seriously that call could've gone either way it dosen't seem that PG's shot was affected by the contact so it was a no-call

Hand on the hip is hard to see from the ref's perspective. We don't know if Lebron was trying to push him or whatever either, though George seems to play it like he did push him.

But yeah, Lebron doesn't really get called for fouls anyway so...:dunno:

Superhead at least has a talent.
