What a shame, prayers for his family. Too many young people die in tragic car crashes.

Police report said alcohol may have been involved. Didn’t say which car.

says charges are pending, all 3 in Jacksons car were killed, so the alcohol involvement would appear to be pertaining to the other vehicle

Tragic. Bringing to mind Gaines Adams memories too, even though we didn't draft him but taken way too young. Rest in peace.

Very sad... I must admit, my first thought was what were these kids doing? Drag racing? Drugs? It seems to be the most likely scenario.

But no, they were doing nothing wrong. Just enjoying thier friendship together when some extremely selfish woman killed them. Again, very sad...

It is amazing how it seems the people that cause fatal crashes are uninjured.

The extremely selfish woman was their friend. She was bowling with them hours beforehand. The more you know!

Very sad story. I live in the DMV area, and once you hit the MD border the drivers are like bats out of hell.

This is fucked up. Things like this, is why I hold my unpopular opinion that driving is a privilege, not a right, and as such, 1 DUI should result in a lifetime revocation of driving privileges. Especially nowadays, there are way too many options available to EVER get behind the wheel impaired.

I’ve told all my kids that if they do get drunk, to just call me, and I will come get them and their friends, with no ass-chewing.

Tragic. You got a kid that busted his ass for basically all of his young life to make it into the league, as well his friends, just to have his and their whole future stripped away from them, over the self-centered actions of another. Sad.

I hope you also teach them the math of speeding isn't worth the risk (either financial or health). And road rage.

Whether she was drunk or not she was being an idiot. If cops actually enforce the law she should have reckless driving, felony time in prison and a long lost license (judging by IL law). Even if they don't go hard because she knew them she has to spend the rest of her life knowing she killed people.
Whatever her reason was it's just not worth it.

I see many people speeding fast enough for reckless driving to end up in front of me at the next stop light. People are just stupid any more.
Kudos to you if you're teaching your kids not to be.

Give them a credit card for them to get a Uber as a backup plan. It is better to lose some money paying for an occasional Uber fee than it is to lose more money paying for a funeral service.
