Your ban had zero to do with a post directed at Novak.
I gave you an infraction on 10/1 for the KYS comment at Novak.
On 10/12 I then warned you via PM about personal insults toward other poster(s) in the Bears forum related to another incident and said the next step would be a ban. I also warned the other poster(s) involved as it was a back and forth. Those posters ceased with their activities. You also asked in this PM exchange about some issues you saw in the B&I forum and I said you need to take it up with that mod.
This Sunday I logged on and was cleaning up a bunch of stuff from reported posts that had nothing to do with you and came across posts of yours randomly scattershot insulting other members in posts and providing nothing to the Bears forum, so pursuant to my PM's the few days before you were banned.
From there the mods decided to take you out of the Sports Forum and let you post in the Off Topic areas.
So you actually got two warnings as I gave you the benefit of the doubt in regards to the Novak deal.

I don't even know why I'm still caping for Grimson at this point, especially after he tried to manipulate my emotions with a free t-shirt, but...
He sometimes is a very literal person. Meaning: You told him not to insult poster's wives or tell them to kill themselves, so perhaps he thinks that he was free to call people fat since you didn't specifically warn him about that.
Problematic? yes. Classic mixup? Maybe...

I specifically told him to cut the personal stuff out. He's still stuck on the thing with Novak from 10/1, when the real issue was the deal on 10/12 and after.
He knows that.
I showed up to the hearing with calendars like Kavanaugh.

What if I vouch for Grimson, and put my account on the line for him? If he gets banned again, I get tossed with him. Perhaps the added responsibility will help in his rehabilitation?

It’s not him I’m really defending it’s just keeping everyone on an equal playing field is all I want.
I don’t see why a personal insult in politics section is any different then in the bears section but it’s not my mb carry on

One main reason is the sports forum are able to be publicly viewed. It's essentially CCS's storefront so we don't want guests, sponsors, etc being able to see that stuff. The Off Topic areas are hidden until you join so they are more lax. It's as much a business decision/marketing/perception thing than anything else.
