Here's a night stand I just finished a while ago I never took photos of it completely finished, I will sometime. Sorry, I don't know how to make them smaller.

Logs are great though. They don't have to be precise. They do take up some space though.

Ha that's funny. I must have posted the wrong pic. I'm trying to duplicate that one. Mine are much rougher in general.

I've looked into the portable mills and would love one but my wife would leave me if I bring another wheeled item into our yard.
I use a chainsaw for slabbing logs. With a little practice you can rip nice clean cuts. They sell chainsaw mills, but I've never felt the need to buy one. It's really just a hobby now.
