8 years. We use mouth spray and a toothbrush but the vet says with some breeds it's just inevitable

That's good, hopefully keeping the teeth/gums clean will help with the pain. Have you always feed him wet food? I've heard bad things about feeding wet food and teeth, but it may be bullshit, I dunno.

He was the runt of his litter, they all got brought to a shelter. Cago, our vet actually told us to stop feeding him dry food. Now that his teeth are gone, no more pain or problems (theoretically).

I've been pretty lucky with all my animals, they haven't had any major medical things happen. My mom and stepdad have had major shit with the last 2 cats they've had, it sucks.
