P90x.

I hate anything having to do with the Wii.

The Wii def. has a fixed place...it's not something that needs to be out/on all the time.

I would rather do p90x, even though i plan to never do either. Video games are for fun and playing, not sweating. TBH i would much rather just go to the gym and have a great workout.

I refuse to pay for gym fees...there's one gym that absolutely dominates all the rest of 'em around here, and you gotta pay for it...

Well IMO, you get what you pay for. I pay 30 a month for LA Fitness w/ no sign up fees. I can go to any LA Fitness in the states and most of them are pretty damn nice and inlcude basketball courts, pools, saunas, etc etc.

If my knees and back would ever cooperate I have a great fitness program I could go by to lose weight and a friend with a weight set. And I've downloaded like 3 or 4 different P90x videos to do.

I do both. I lift weights 3x a week, than on my cardio days I do the P90x Cardio during the day, and then Wii Fit at night.

What is the best one to do for cardio on the P90x? I haven't even looked at what I downloaded yet. Is there differences with the cardio?

P90x comes with two Cardio Routines. Xtreme Cardio, and Kempo Karate Cardio.

If you have the space, the Kempo Cardio is awesome, mixes boxing and kickboxing into the routine.

I just got the P90X dvds. I've looked through a few videos. It's going to be rough haha. But I'm looking forward to it.

No three times a day, everyday besides Sunday. I lift for class in school, then after school for football, then late at night when I get home.

I'm only 15, and I have plenty of energy, so I can handle it easily. I work the the lower body most days at school for class. Then I do uppers after school, then I fill in what I have left at home.

In about two months my bench max has jumped 45 lbs. I'm getting pretty good results.

I'm 5"8, 135 lbs. I max 180 on bench, I'd say what I'm doing is working, I'd like to hit 200 soon.

As someone who is studying the body in college, you're actually hurting yourself. You, at max, should lift no more than once a day every three days. You're muscles need time to replenish. If you keep lifting at the pace you are it is going to result in serious injury (muscle tear, tendon rupture.. etc...). When you lift what you are doing is essentially causing tiny tears in the muscle tissue. Your body repairs these tiny tears with protein from your diet. Now this doesn't mean that taking a protein shake is going to fix your muscles. It takes your muscles generally a day to rest and recover before they are actually ready to lift again. Also, back to protein. If you take a protein shake, it should be taken once a day, within one hour of your workout as this is the window when your body can put the protein to work quickly to repair the muscle. Too much protein though can actually store in your body and cause a serious taxing on your kidneys which can lead to kidney problems or even kidney failure. As a football coach, I would never, ever recommend lifting more than once a day to a student athlete, especially a 15 year old that has a body that is no where near finished developing.

Just my two sense as a coach and someone who studies kinesiology. Take it for what it's worth.
