I think out best pair are leno and Jenkins this year but, go for it and light up Leno's ass.

Yes we will have 2 - 6'6" 320lb monsters fighting to take their jobs. We should see improvement.

Competition brings out the best in people. You find out what you have.

As much as I'd love to see a new LT...I think we'd be asking a lot of a Jenkins to beat out Leno at LT THIS year. I'd rather a veteran handle the blind side if we see Fields at some point (God willing we will).

Remember when Kyle Long was going to be good enough to move to tackle.

I just cannot take this organization seriously when it comes to moving o-linemen around.

It usually doesn't work out.

Leno probably wins the job but maybe the competition will make Leno better.

Definitely did the normal media thing and twisted his words a bit. Pace said he can play on the right or left side, not strictly RT or LT. Just sayin.

I liked this comment by Pace much more.

Ryan Pace says the #Bears will still look at the free agent market as well as potential cuts that they are watching closely.
Imagine if he wasn’t doing that.

He literally said “it could be anywhere on our offensive line. It could be on either side” when asked “if you see teven as a starter this year, could it be on the left side?”

He has badass RT written all over him, maybe backup LT if necessary. Bears have a history of doing this just play the guy at his best position please, and that’s RT.

Nothing wrong with letting him compete for both spots. It opens up more opportunities to get the best 5 linemen out there. If he can push Leno to show that he is the best man on the blind side this year, great. If he can win and hold down the LT spot, all the better.

Oh I like this a lot. Smash mouth football is what we need.
Leno has been soft for years. I love him and what he did for the Bears, but our best formation is now going to be

Jenkins-Whitehair-Daniels/Mustifer-Ifedi/Daniels-Ifedi/Bars

I don't think Jenkins is a LT, but he is better than what we have and strong.

I don't particularly like what went down on day 3, so I will go on record what I think should have happened.

My dream draft
1. Fields QB1
2. Jenkins RT
5. Jamar Johnson S Indiana
6. Khalil Herbert RB3 Virg Tech
6. Trey Smith RT/LT2/Swing1 Tennessee
6. Thomas Graham Jr. CB Oregon
7. Marvin Wilson DT USC

I wish we had Smith so we could book-end road graders and run Nagy's system.
