shrill, and that was kind of the point. you people have a low threshold for sarcasm. It should have been obvious.
It won't surprise me, though, if some moron pops up to defend kate gosselln.

Yeah, this chick is dying for attention.

BUT, the initail dubious fame was unwanted and unwarranted.

How about all you guys who think this is no big deal provide links to your facebook page so the people here can rate the females in your family?

I mean..... it is no big deal, right? If they didn't want the attention they wouldn't be posting pics of themselves online.

I cant wait to rate some of the sweat-hogs that gave birth to some of the people on here.

I agree that the initial fame was unwanted. That's the part I feel bad for. I don't have a Facebook for obvious reasons. Also, I'm sure she could have set her pictures on private. I'm stating that people will just be assholes on the internet and that is just what it is. However, this is not cyber bullying. People were just ribbing her because she was a Packer fan. Not because of what she actually looks like or what she does. This happens all the time. Nothing special about her. I didn't say it was ok if it happens all the time, but I don't know why she has the right to complain before anybody else who has gone through this

Did any of the crusaders in this thread stop to realize that the victim is an adult, who was in college at the time the picture was taken, and who uploaded the pic for internet consumption?

I think she co-opted a much more serious problem that doesn't apply to her. Of course, many people on here can't see the difference.

She could have set her pics to private, yes.

If she were a cheerleader for any other team, (a position she had to fight for and gets compensated for) then I would not sorry for her.
At that point she would be someone sought out and desired the massive attention.

BUT, since Green bay invites amature squads to perform, and those squads consider that a huge honor and a once in a lifetime chance.
Perhaps this girl needed an extra curricular activity to round out a resume or to get a scholarship. maybe she plays sports and does this on her offseason to keep in shape.
She gets an opportunity to do something that she should be able to remember fondly for the rest of her life.
Then she gets picked at random and torn apart on a social media site.

Personally, I think her video was a stupid idea... but then again she is a kid that has been randomly selected and torn apart publicly, she probably comes from a small town and it is likely she hears about it non-stop around town. Of course she will react badly.

Lets put it this way- her group of cheerleaders was a guest at the the stadium being given an honor. to rip in to her and compare her to other cheer squads around the league is the equivalent of ripping in to some kids being brought on field for a punt pass and kick contest and creating a thread about how badly they suck.
It is the equivalent of picking a veteran being honored on-field and pointing out how small and weak looking he is and calling him a pussy for getting injured, and that if he wasn't such a little ***** he could have avoided getting wounded.

As for the argument about her situation not being a big deal and that she should shut up because worse things happen in the world, that is a stupid ass argument. Lets say you get mugged after a game, they steal your wallet, car, and stab you in the stomach..... according to your logic, you should just suck it up and go home because there are people getting murdered and houses getting robbed, so your case isn't so bad in the grand scheme of things.
It is the same as your employer taking away your benefits and cutting your pay in half and telling you to shut up and not complain because there are homeless people without jobs, so your situation isn't such a bad deal.

Bud she is crying about people making fun of her. What is she..8? There are people who are homeless, have stage 4 cancer and are living in 3rd world countries. So as she makes her video in her warm house while she has her while life ahead of her there are people from my area that had they're homes and belongings washed away by hurricane sandy so I'm sorry if I don't feel bad for this girl who is butt hurt that people who don't know her don't like her.
As the great Cutler says"Don't Care!

I find it interesting that her article appeared on Yahoo RIGHT NEXT to an article about an 11 year old boy who was beaten up at school and is now in a medically induced coma.

I wonder if any can see the difference.

WTF are you talking about ? " Crusaders " ? ... whose the drama queen ?

1st amendment, scripture ? You really need that to know how to act decent, justify your behavior ? Granted it better that she was an adult, but still doesn't change anything or the bs with the 1001 reasons that it is ok to act irresponsible.

When the original poster " from FB " posted it. It was just about GB cheerleaders in general ( if it was the Dallas Cheerleaders I would understand because they put themselves on a pedestal ), but the responses became personal and that is when it went over the line. It wasn't like she posted the pic stated the GB cheerleaders are the " best, hottest , .. whatever " where people refuted it. It was originally posted as just something part of her life, nothing more , nothing less.

The thing that sticks out the most about this to me is that this would be a non-issue if the butt of the joke was male. How many times have people ripped on, say, John Clayton for having a big fucking head? Is that also cyberbullying, or am I missing some important factor? An adult is an adult, regardless of what sort of dangly parts they have.

I wouldn't have taken an issue with this if the picture was for example of the whole squad or as someone else pointed out if the cheerleader was a paid professional. It is well known that Green Bay lets local Wisconsin High School cheerleaders perform at games which I think is a really cool idea and a great experience for the kids. It is just another way the Packers connect with their community and supports their small town, local image.

While certainly anyone has the "right" to post the picture and make fun of the kid it doesn't mean it is right. It is low class and embarrassing to me as a Bears fan. As for male or female to me it makes no difference, I'd be equally embarrassed if the photo was of a local Wisconsin male cheerleader and jokes of him being a "homo" were posted.

Bit of a tangent to the article, but on your chunky comment... If there's going to be cheerleaders at all, I'd prefer they were all different sizes and weights, and all different attractiveness levels; and they'd dress in appropriately comfortable clothing for leading cheers, and dress appropriately for the weather. Not to mention their sole purpose should be leading the crowd in cheers and singing, and maybe gymnastics, pyramids and dancing -- as opposed to striking overtly sexual poses (especially with their faces); specifically considering the stadium and television audience is all ages (which makes it creepy). Think about it... general audience... I sure as hell wouldn't watch any NFL Chip & Dale dance display. The overtly sexual displays has nothing to do with football. I know some people would like a striptease or porno show during football breaks, but that doesn't mean it should be added to a general audience event like NFL football. Just my opinion.
