Pagano calling Shea Mcclellin finish some business
David Montgomery never goes down on first contact. Imagine what he'd do to blockers as an edge rusher. Secret weapon
like an inverse Fridge? brilliant.
@msadowsBeing aggressive doesn’t have to mean blitzing. For example, Fangio was super agressive with his secondary. Not only did this force QB’s to make mistakes, but it caused them to hesitate and hold the ball longer than they wanted to.
In game play calling is the key here. Pagano is lazy and thinks the talent on defense will ultimately prevail. He needs to make actual adjustments from play to play. He needs to dictate the game, force the offense to react to what he is doing.
Even with these changes, I’m not optimistic. Pagano is a run of the mill vanilla defensive coordinator. He is what he is, and what he’s always been. Fangio is a master play caller with decades experience. It’s not even fair to compare the 2. So for Pagano to abandon his “we’ll just beat you straight up” philosophy in a one off game, and expect to fool Aaron Rodgers is asking a lot
