They aren't leaving Charlotte or at least they shouldn't. Charlotte is growing and has a strong economy. They have a strong fan base. This article is click bait journalism.

As well as the fact this dude only owns 48 percent of the team. If the other owners don't want to move then the new guy is fucked

Albuquerque Panthers has a nice ring to it!

Albuquerque (/ˈælbəˌkɜːrki/ (About this sound listen) AL-bə-kur-kee; Navajo: Beeʼeldííl Dahsinil /pèːʔèltíːl tɑ̀xsɪ̀nɪ̀l/) is the most populous city in the U.S. state of New Mexico. The high-elevation city serves as the county seat of Bernalillo County,[5] and it is situated in the north central part of the state, straddling the Rio Grande. The city population is 559,277 as of the July 1, 2016 population estimate from the United States Census Bureau,[1] and ranks as the 32nd-largest city in the U.S. The Albuquerque metropolitan statistical area (or MSA) has a population of 909,906 according to the United States Census Bureau's most recently available estimate for 2016.

No offense but ABQ is a shithole. Dont 40 cars a day get stolen a day there?

They should move to New Jersey. Need a team there that's not afraid to admit they're there.

Absolutely! One of the most dangerous cities in the country with the top stolen car rate among other wonderful statistics. Perfect place for an NFL team.

I like your thinking. That's where I want Cam Newton to play.

Richmond,VA Panthers - The city can barely keep a farm baseball team around, couldn't support a low level hockey team, and attendance for the Skins training camp is slimming out. Mix that with the Skins and Ravens really close to Richmond.

Besides all that, I'd take it here in my city in a second. Would be great. Not sure where they would put it though. Couldn't even get a new baseball stadium, and the city isn't that large.

the baseball stadium deal drove me crazy...they could house a team just west of short pump...area is blowing up and plenty of undeveloped land

Very true, but I don't foresee the Short Pump folks agreeing with a development of that sorts anywhere close to them. Would need to be pushed way outside of their little bubble, and that bubble is growing really quickly. I assume a lot of that land has already been zoned for future purposes, much like the land down in Chester that absorbed Capital One, NG, Amazon, and the new residential expansions. All of that was zoned 20 years in advance, but the public wasn't informed.

yeah it will probably have to be in Manakin or Goochland...the rednecks out their would love it...the short pump folk are more concerned with having anothe grocery store to shop in. seriously do we really need 20+ grocery stores in a 4 mile radius

Surprised as well if it wasn't for all the Mormons I might consider moving there to get away from all the craziness of big cities.

Oklahoma Panthers vs Dallas Cowboys/Houston Texans would be a good rivalry.

Salt Lake proper (the 125K number) is not nearly as mormon as the suburbs, and actually quite liberal. I live in an east side neighborhood that is probably under 25% mormon. Also, Salt Lake is tiny in terms of square mileage. You look at the valley ( SLC and suburbs that are about 15 X 15 miles) and the number jumps way over a million for population.
