Well he said yesterday they based it all on the Freeh Report. With how extensive that thing was, they might not have see a reason to reinvent the wheel.

My problem with this conclusion, is that the NCAA is punishing an organization of thousands, because of the actions of one person, and the lack of action from another.
The players didn't know.
The NCAA should strike Paterno's record in a manner that doesn't punish the students. Oh well, too late now. It's like beating a dead horse.

just kind of surprised the NCAA was pretty quick and straight forward with the punishment....
you would think,with how extensive the report was, that it would take them some time to really reach some kind of jurisdiction
not really a big deal,just thought it was interesting

i honestly dont know as much about the case as i should,but i think the cover-up extends well beyond just paterno

Again, I suppose it could argued that erasing all victories give some culpability to anyone involved in the PSU football program. That being said, you have to look at the words being used yesterday in the press conference.

That a guy could carry on with what Sandusky did for so long. That an institution could do what they can to make sure none of that is made public for so long. Both of those things are horrible enough. But honestly, the saddest part of this whole thing is that so many people could run to the defense of any of the people involved just bewilders me so much.
I don't think I could ever be so emotionally invested with something as insignificant as a college football team. I just don't get that mindset.

What really pisses me off is all the comments by the Paterno family. Talking about how there's not enough evidence and it's not true. Give me a break.

I can't fault the Paterno family. They sound ridiculous, I agree - but I really can't fault them.
