Makes sense overall, but fucking gross. I was hoping he'd go to Florida.

Will be interesting to see if he's that much better after surgery. He really was just blah with the Rangers. I don't believe he needed a full-on new hip -- it was more or less just the joint and the ball I think -- so maybe it does help him. It better anyway, taking off that long at his age isn't easy, regardless of the reason.

A person with knowledge of the decision told The Associated Press on Tuesday that Kane has agreed to a contract worth a prorated $2.75 million. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because Kane has not yet signed the contract, which will pay him just over $2 million in actual dollars.
