He still just may not be ready, I wasn't sold on the Johns being ready yet though his playoff performance was so far above his normal regular season play it had been looking good... though perhaps the injury also slowed his off-season progress.

Michael Paliotta was sent down by the Blue Jackets to the AHL as well, he definitely he seemed still needing AHL grooming as a guy too.

The Sharp trade is probably the Hawks best value trade of all time in amount to what he accomplished. Some of the other historically great trades were good for the team but not necessarily trade steals. Like getting a prime hitting Chris Chellios for a post prime Dennis Savard.

If he's going to play plenty with Seguin, even so if with Spezza back on the 2nd line at times, the team would be better off if Rupp asked Sharp to play defense again instead of holding off on it and cherry picking so often.
