I just don’t understand it. Lonzo. Is. Not. Good.

As a fan there isn’t anyone I could get excited for @7

As a bulls org they haven’t been able to land a marketable player by tanking and no free agent with another option would touch this cancerous franchise. Ball could actually sell seats. I know he is more hype than actual decent player but the business side I would do it if I’m garpax

If they want to target a point guard, why not D'Angelo Russell, if Kyrie goes to Brooklyn?

Because he is a free agent. We only can get desperate free agents. If Russell has more than the bulls as suitors we won’t get him

It’s the reality of the toxic culture that is the bulls. It sucks for the fans

The Bulls sell out regardless. They don't need Ball to sell seats. So you would be willing to trade a better asset for a player whose only positive attribute would be something they already are the best at in the league? As far as the draft, it's been fairly well publicized that the draft is top heavy. So I'm not sure where your expectations are anyways getting the 7th. If you want to say you're more worried about the scouting of GarPax, that's fine, but I don't know how you reconcile that by trading the pick for a player who has never played a full season, can't shoot, or get to the free throw line.

I'm not sure they'll have the cap room to sign him due to the Otto Porter trade. Could have sworn I heard on one of the afternoon shows that they don't have the max slot.

I believe this is true. I don't know what a max slot is now a days though.

They have like 23 million in free space.

Max slot is going to be around 30 million.

I think the max for him would be like $28m for a player with less than 6 years. I only have room in my brain for the NFL salary cap stuff. NBA, not sure. They could probably cut someone or go over a bit though?

Anyway, I know it's a pipe dream.

That's not a very good reason to trade the 7th pick. The Bulls still sell out even when they have shitty seasons. They don't need somebody to put people in the seats. I just don't see what people see in Ball that makes him worth the #7 pick. Now if you tell me the Bulls should trade their 2nd round pick for Ball, I'd be for it. There's nothing that Ball does that the Bulls can't find later in the draft. Not ready to give the #7 for a failed #2 pick.

yeah its probably not smart.

Trade up for Garland?
Maybe Coby White can shoot and develop defense.

Ball will probably never shoot well enough to facilitate guys around him to win a championship as more than a back-up point guard. Have to shoot or penetrate.

They should probably tank another season but will make playoffs, that lottery was huge for us

I watched almost every game Rose played in a Bulls uniform. Lets be honest; he should have gotten a ton of assists but his teammates usually let him down or Deng would pass up a wide open shot to get closer to the basket for a contested shot. This forced him to take most of the scoring load. I cringed everytime we had to set up in our half court offense which was imho, Thibs fault cause that shit was the weakest offensive gameplay in the league.

White can shoot. He needs to work on his defense more though. Agree on the Ball part too. Don't want him at all.

I think it's weird that you preface your comments with the following, as if for a great majority of posters in this forum it's different.

Don't post too much. Prefer reading posts. Force of habit with my writing style.

I have 0 expectations for the draft pick or this team whether they trade for someone or draft someone. It’s a go no where franchise

And I didn’t realize they still sold out I thought people finally stopped going. They probably spend all their time at the bars around the stadium god knows one can’t sit through a whole bulls game lol

Well they always sell out, or are near close to it, whether or not they come through the gates is another story.

I honestly think whoever we pick is going to be back up material

And my opinion has nothing to do with how I feel about ball cause I think he’s all hype.

I didn’t realize they still sell tickets but to show they do something garpax going after ball is equivalent for us as is let’s say a real team trading for Leonard like raptors did

I find that insane!
I can understand it, but I also get what you're saying. I'm hoping a lot of it is third party ticket brokers, because **** those guys. But I'd feel bad for a ST holder who couldn't go last minute and couldn't find someone to buy them.
