And goff would still be the best Qb on the Bears....ever......
Goff would have crashed and burned in Nagy’s offense.
Spare me the Justin Fields love, I heard the same crap when you got that gem of a QB in Trubusky. Now your future hinges on the 4th QB taken in the draft, that played at OSU, for the love of God, you can't make this shit up.
Fields was 1b in HS and all throughout college. It wasn’t until he was over analyzed and the fact he epilepsy came out that he began to slide. In fact:

“at least a quarter of the league.” Frelund said she talked with 16 NFL team scouts who gave their grades, sharing that 8 had Fields as their top QB.

Johnson, jaylon,,,,,, just how many number ones did he cover in his first three weeks?
Bears CB’s don’t shadow opposing #1s so.... fail. How many opposing WR’s in general did the Lions as a team cover last year? My guess is not many as the Lions’ pass D finished 30th in yards, 32 in TDs, and 30th in INTs. Seems like Okudah really stepped up last year. You’d think with all those $4mill sacks the pass D would step up… lol.
Hicks and Robinson are both gone next year, so who cares?
Maybe… but you don’t know that.
it's nice to see you get a few meaningless wins at the end of the season to screw your draft.
Screw our draft? You mean like taking a LT at #7 only to move him to RT instead of taking a dynamic QB because you’re pinning your hopes Jared “I cost my team an extra 1st to trade me” Goff? You mean like screwing your draft like that?

LOL, not sure if that is a criticism on Goff, or proof of Nag'ys incompetence. Question is, what QB hasn't crashed and burned in Nagy's offence? Two receivers in the same spot on the field at the same time, jet sweeps on third and one, yes, brilliance!! If Fields is half as smart as everyone says he is, maybe he will walk off the field and slap Nagy for his stupidity?

And yet the fact of the matter is he was passed over by 11 other teams and the 4th QB taken off the board, so I guess that those 16 teams all drafted later than 11? And Minnesota thought so highly of him as well. But yes, pace, the QB mastermind he has shown us he is, did move up to take him. Because when Pace moves up, it always works out!! AMIRITE??

And yet they completely shut down the Bears during the season opener, until not one, not two, but three of them went out with injury and Okudah had to fill in despite missing all of the offseason with injury. Not to mention, one of those terrible corners is now on the Bears!!Why? Because Pace cannot manage the cap to save his ass, and had to let your number one corner go. For who? Andy Effing Dalton!! And what did he get in return? A big flat nothing burger, zero. LOL, you can't make this shit up!!

LOL, effing Parrot, Your grasping at straws now, Mr "I will trade away future capital to save my job" Pace.
Funny, I never knew "dynamic" and "leftovers" were synonymous. But we will see how "dynamic" he is when your O-line is composed of a 5th round rt, a 2nd rnd LT that is a Rt, and UDFA center, and a center that is too stupid to call line changes and now has to play guard (the last time he tried that he got injured).

About 70% of the people on this board were calling for Pace and Nagy's head this offseason prior to the draft. Now, with the 4th QB taken off the board (trade up) and a 2nd round Rt (another trade up)that is penciled in as the starting left tackle, and a 5th round Rt Bears fans are dancing in the streets as everyone else laughs. Might want to pump the brakes a little, because this seldom ends well.

Now feel free to toss whatever Lions insult you so choose to deflect, but it won't change a thing about anything I just wrote. An chances are, Sewell will be still starting in the NFL long after Fields has gone the same route as Trubusky.

wait are you actually talking shit about the. opener? y’all lost that game right? also you’re right we will see how dynamic Fields is when he’s slapping your pitiful franchise around worse than Trubisky for the majority of his time in Chicago LOL. m

you talk a lot of shit about Nagy but he’s 5-1 against you’re shitty franchises and has coached in more play off games in than your franchise has seen since when?

also Goff struggled with McVay, i can’t wait to see what he looks like with Mr. Bite your Knee Caps

It is proof of both Nagy's incompetence and Goff being a mental midget. McVay's system is QB friendly and makes reads for the QB. The fact he ultimately failed running it means he has limited value going forward. If he cant succeed in that system, he is likely to struggle in other systems that require more thinking. He is dumb as rocks.

Your attempt to bash Fields is also quite dumb. You are trying to compare a guy that cost a first rounder to draft with a guy who the Rams had to give up a first rounder to get rid of. They are literally on opposite ends of the comp spectrum with one team offering the highest round pick to acquire while the other guy's former team had to offer the highest round pick they could to get rid of him.

31 teams passed on offering a draft pick for Goff. Not even a 7th rounder. 31 teams also passed on accepting less than a 1st rounder from the Rams to take Goff off their hands. In fact there were 407 opportunities for a team to get Goff ie (31 teams x 7 rounds) + (31 teams x 6 rounds) with the first brackett being the opportunities to get him by giving up a draft pick and the 2nd being the opportunities to get him by accepting a draft pick in rounds 2-7.

There is no scenario where that is not an embarrasssing development. In the end, you know how a player is valued based on what teams are willing to give up. The Goff trade is the equivalent of trying to sell a car and instead having to pay the junkyard top dollar to get it out of your yard.

yep. They said the backup was more comfortable playing LT so they moved TJ to RT.
Funny thing is, he is now listed as backup RT after this years spring practice so he sucked at LT.
Like Sewel isn’t good enough for LT?

To say I constantly bring up the Bears record is devoid of context. The point is, the Bears, in recent history, suck as bad as the Lions. What is funny is at the end of the Fox regime, none of the Bears fans thought the last four years mattered, lol, now that the tables have turned, they are suddenly significant. Constantly moving the goal posts.

Not to forget the mind numbingly stupid Trubisky > than Stafford threads that surfaced after 2018, or the Stafford has never won a playoff game justification. Now that the Lions have a QB that has won playoff games, that doesn't matter. Or the equally brilliant Daniels > Ragnow proclamations. And now the Jenkins > Sewel, which I expect will age equally as well.

LOL, you can't make this shit up.

The fact of the matter is, the Lions are in full rebuild mode. What escapes Bears fans is they should be doing the same, instead they keep trading away draft capital by a gm that is hanging on to his job by the skin of his teeth, and that you, and many others, where calling to get fired not 2 weeks before the draft.

I look at your offense, and I don's see one foundational piece on it that I am sure will be a fixture in 2022-3. Sure, a couple of maybes, and he is just a guys, but Arob will be gone, Monty will be used up, Fields may or may not be good, but other than that, what?

Your defense is aging fast, Mack and Quin are almost assuredly cap casualties soon, Hicks will retire or be gone, you have no secondary except for an overpaid Amos, other than Roquan, who you got? That light you see at the end of the tunnel is a train, and it's coming. You will go into yet another year with no #1 pick, and Pace hasn't exactly been a genius at signing players in FA. Foles? Quin? Dalton? Glennon? Should I continue? Suffice it to say, if the bears don't win a playoff game this year, the Mack signing was a colossal failure.

right now, looking past this year, in which neither team is going to do a dam thing, I like the Lions future a whole hell of a lot better, so enjoy another 8-8 season (at best) again.

Except you didn't. Trades are not cap casualties.

As the start of the new league year (March 17) and NFL free agency draws closer, NFL fans might begin seeing the term “cap casualty” more frequently. What is a cap casualty in the NFL?
A cap casualty is a player who is cut, not necessarily because he isn’t a good player, but because the salary cap benefits outweigh the on-field production.
Because teams have limited salary cap space, talented players are often cut to save money.

Except all but a few seen the rebuild coming, and denied it should have started last year........
Lots of people have seen this coming. Once again you're living in fantasy world.

Imagine trying to #CALLEDIT because something is obvious. I'll pull out my hipster fedora, pour a pastry IPA and scratch my neckbeard as i tell you that i called the rebuild way before you and those who stated the obvious.
