If you have access to a time machine I recommend a trip to Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada in June/July 1970.

First off Banff is beautiful, even now, no need for a time machine. But this is about people watching (I think). In 1969 it seems there were some American draft dodgers that went to Canada and apparently quite a few wound up in Banff. Think Woodstock and Haight-Ashbury had a baby. I was a 13 year old kid camping with his family, surrounded by hippie chicks with no underwear.

Total freak show with 50% ultra hot half naked college girls. That was some solid people watching. I had never seen anything like that, and never have since.

I liked the theater people. I didn't understand them, but I appreciated their enthusiasm for whatever the **** they did. Myself, I just liked pot. I also liked the talent shows. We had a guitar god in our ranks who arranged to have a wireless patch cord for his performance. When it came time for his solo, his plan was to run up and down the aisles while soloing. The song he chose was "Let's Go Crazy" by Prince. He made it up one aisle and then somebody from our rival high school broke a window. He got scared and just kept running right out of the auditorium. Show was over.

I know nvanprooyen will doubt me on this story, but it happened.

I looked at my "Rebel trenchcoat mafia" friends and said, "only in high school. want to smoke some pot?"

Guys this is more about viewing people IRL... not you toads watching movies in your parent's basements.

I actually wake up at 9-9:30AM and hit the gym.

Unlike you fat losers who wake up ay 8:00AM and go straight to work.
i'm up at 5 motherfucker

Good story. With all the naked hot chicks, you rang a bell.

I went to this event called the ''superbowl'' in Pennsylvania in my early 20's. Basically, it's a naked volleyball tournament held at a huge nudist campground every year, the place was gorgeous. It was way out in the woods, had multiple pools, hot tubs, probably 30 beach volleyball courts, general stores, a huge auditorium, the bathrooms were under a roof, but all showers were on the outsides of building(haha), all kinds of shit.

The event ran from Thursday-Sunday. Volleyball was going on from start to finish. If you played volleyball you had to be completely naked, I think shoes were allowed but nothing else. On Friday & Saturday night, they had a dance club/bar thing happening. It was crazy as **** to walk in to an auditorium filled with hundreds of drunk people dancing. On the last day of the event, the owners of the campground smoke/grill fresh corn that's grown on the property, so there's like 600 people standing in line for corn, butt ass naked and wasted. Shit was a trip.

Needless to say, I did some serious people watching that weekend. :buttrock:

A Casino is a subculture? WTF did I just read?

I was confused by that one. Also, it seems despbro likes to hang out a lot and watch children and perverts.

Downtown LA is good for some weird, creepy people watching. Unlike Chicago, downtown LA is pretty much a dump, full of homeless and mentally ill people, except for a few pockets of gentrification. The other day I saw this rock'n'roll looking dude. He had long black hair, black leather pants, and a black leather jacket. Girlfriend was dressed the same way. He had his arm around his girlfriend and they were walking down the street. I noticed every person they walked by was staring at them, and the guy was snapping at everyone. The guy was clearly mentally ill. I was at a stop light, and as the couple were approaching, I noticed that something was amiss with the girlfriend. Upon closer inspection, the girlfriend was actually a mannequin! He dressed it up and even put full on makeup on it. And the makeup was fucking creepy. He overdid everything and it made it look soooo disturbing. Lord knows what he was doing to that mannequin at home.

Playing slots is weird? Is it almost as weird as staying up until 4am every night on CCS from your patents house?

Now THATS a sub culture.

Anyone else like to "People Watch"?

I find it interesting to sit in a high traffic public place and just observe "people" in their natural habitat.

You can learn a whole lot about the human race by doing this.

Boyfriends and girlfriends arguing about trivial shit, kids fighting with eachother or even the greasers on the corner swapping cigarettes and talking about the Ramones.

I find all of it fascinating.

Last weekend I went to the "Industrial Strip" in Hammond, Indiana by myself to visit some of the hot new Strip Clubs. I wasn't there to pay for a silly lapdance... I just wanted to watch people and how they interacted with the girls.

Shit, if I wanted to get laid, I could have just gotten my cellphone out while I was there and had girls lined up when I got home.

I was born in Hammond. I haven't been there in years. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess it's even more of a shithole than I remember.

Well considering you probably are a fucking weirdo jn real life, Id say I wouldn't associate with what you likely do on a daily basis.

But I do enjoy going to weird shit. I like subcultures. So I enjoy weird goth clubs(neo, exit), casinos, all the weird board game stuff events and going to arcades. I've always enjoyed the people out of the box. What exactly makes them click? I don't know. But I find it interesting. Malls are real cool to drink a cup of joe and people watch. I find it interesting every clothing store sells a lifestyle.

And yes, I totally would go to a (straight) leather bar.

:lmao:
