Knox is pretty Special person too.

Then again he was bent in half and might never play again either.

Jermichael Finley makes Hester and Knox look like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs.

Why does everyone assume certain players are dumb? Articulate and intelligent are not the same thing.
And I'll guarantee that anyone on the Bears roster knows more about football than any of the people on this board.

Because there are stupid nfl players....articulate or not. I would hope the football players know more about football than anyone on this board. Even if they know more about football than us, does not make them know everything about football. How many times have we heard coaches keeping a playbook simple for certain players.

Devn Hester literally couldn't read in college.

Guy is a functioning Special person.

Ok per the Score..sources are saying Trestmans offenses are too complex for some players to learn, that he's very smart but tends to over cook the playbook...Doesn't bode well for stupid players as they'll have to study a lot harder. This is the reason being stated as to why he was not offered a HC job in like 2006....

Per The Score or per PFW 2 days ago? Are they just stealing stuff from Hub now?

If it's B&B probably. I have heard Mac & Spiegs completely disagree with Hub before even to the point of bashing him a little after he's off the phone.

Speaking of B&B today, their "sources" inside Halas Hall were saying that McCoy was not very high on Cutler. That Sullivan did pretty well and I'm guessing he was maybe #4 on the list, but Bevell 'blew him off his chair' in the interview.

Yep....

"Rivers is clearly the reason McCoy wanted the Chargers. Rivers was considered the best quarterback among the five teams without a coach, including Jay Cutler in Chicago. Cutler is younger than Rivers, but he is considered a more difficult personality to work with."

IMO, This is going to come down to the wire just like before. Many qualified HC candidates and still no HC. Now we learn that Cutler was an issue for McCoy, at least that was reported. So do we come down to the same ol same ol where we get the last guy available and then spout off on how the team really wanted him? Just like Lovie, Martz and Tice? It is the Bears and coaches don't want to come here, they will find any excuse to say no thanks to this franchise.

But I thought the reason coaches didn't want to come here was Lovie? In fact, I made the argument that part of the reason Lovie couldn't get coaches was due to how Bears management, media and fans gave the impression he was always on the hot seat so no one wanted to deal with the job insecurity.

Maybe it's not just the franchise. Maybe it's the fans and media too who the coaches are weary of.

You have the possibility that was the case with McCoy.. one guy who if anyone interviewed, the guy who was going to be the least receptive to Cutler on a basis how the Denver trade of Cutler went down after McCoy came in under McDaniels.

How about we start making a random case now for every one of those interviewed that turned down the job. What's the issue had by Sullivan? Dennison? Clements? Armstrong? Singletarry?.. see the complete difference in the situation?

LOL They have using that soundbite from some interview. I'm not sure what that interview was but I think it was someone from WBBM interviewing Emery about his coaching search and asked him something like "Are you looking for someone to blow you out of your chair" or something like that.
