not really. do you see the stuff he has to put up with?

He does it to himself. He has been a full blown asshole for at 10 years.

We just gave you 2 examples of stupid shit that Fox did during games. He is like the white Lovie in his game management. The Bronco fans saw his stupidity and wanted him gone.

Give me a break. You can cherry pick any head coaches decisions and come up with some bad ones. You've watched enough football to know that.

You realize that you can be "not the worst team in the league" one year, get better and still be the worst team in the league the following year, right?

I don't think the Bears are the worst team in the league, but your logic is flawed.

yes, i understand that. but i don't think those teams improved enough to leapfrog us. do you? (we got an A- at NFL.COM) i also like our moves as far as coaching, and management.

jets got williams but still have major qb issues. they got an A at NFL.COM.
raiders got cooper, but still got a B- grade at NFL.COM. they are still a mess.
browns had a nice draft, B+ at NFL.COM, got Shelton, Erving and Orchard. still don't have a QB.
titans got Mariota and DGB, got a B- at NFL.COM but will take time to gel, i think. i didn't like any QBs this year.
bucs got Winson, who i think will bust, got a B+ grade. i don't think they're a good team.
redskins got a B at NFL.com. scherff is a good call. still a weak team.

we got the best grade of all of these teams, outside of the Jets. i get your argument about logic, but i don't think we're worst. i'd put all of these below us.

I think you may be on to something here. Who remembers the Denver playoff game they lost the year before the Super Bowl with Fox as HC? In 2012 they were down 38-35 against Baltimore and instead of putting it in Manning's hands they handed the ball off, got stuffed, and lost. What coach makes that kind of decision? Hopefully Fox learned from that, but fortunately that situation won't come up with Cutler under center.

Hes on record stating that he stands by his decision and would do it again. which is why, though with the hiring of fangio and gase im not nearly as down on the fox hire as i was originally, i still fear that fox will mismanage games and cost the teams wins.

also, to the poster claiming the writer of the article is a packers fan because the bears are last while the pack are 2nd... why wouldnt he have put the pack at number 1?

There's no way the Bears are the worst team. As usual they will be floating a game or two on either side of average. I see 6-9 to 9-7 at best with this years schedule. If they are very lucky and have no injuries they might be able to sniff the playoffs. Here are the Vegas odds on win totals before the draft. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...patriots-lead-list-raiders-bring-up-the-rear/ Here are the odds after. http://sports.bovada.lv/sports-betting/football-team-props.jsp Both scenarios have Chicago at 7 wins. It's not a perfect science, but after living here, I'm still amazed at how awesome the oddsmakers are. Whoever compiled that list at USA today is a tool.

BFD, It's USA Today. Worst is a joke. The team was last year as well but we still picked 7th with that trainwreck of mismanagement. Even if ommy's right, mediocre coaching would elevate us and Gase, Fangio are anything but mediocre.

6-9? Which game will be cancelled?

I don't think the Bears are nearly as bad talent wise as last season's record would suggest. Think they'll surprise some people this season. Not saying they'll be good, just better than most people's expectations. Middle of the pack, maybe slightly better.

I think you have the Baltimore game wrong. They were up 7 with about a minute to go and played it conservative and ran the ball to give it back to Baltimore with 0 time outs left.

Then Rahim Moore (who some of us wanted as a safety for reasons unknown) made a colossal mistake allowing an 80 yard TD to send the game to OT.

I don't think the Bears should be listed last, there are certainly a few other teams that have a ways to go and are obviously rebuilding...TB, Wash, Ten, Oak, and SF I think will finish with worse records than the Bears. But I think Oakland could have a chance to have as good of a record if not better, realistically though they need another year for Carr to get them to the point of having a winning record. Throw in injuries that happen throughout the year to top tier players, there potentially could be other teams that would end up with a worse record. But what is the difference between the 25th ranked team and the last ranked team? As fans the perception isn't as bad as having the stigma of being the worst team in the NFL...but no matter how you slice it the team either had injuries that put the team in that position or the team was just bad that year.

So when I see that this guy ranked the Bears at 32, I may not agree with him, but in my eyes there are only 5 other teams I can definitely say are worse...so he really isn't that far off.

Also, a few in this thread made comments about Jacksonville and I know I am probably in the minority but I think they may actually have a decent season (at least compared to their recent seasons). A lot of the games they lost last year were by 14 points or less, they made some pretty good FA moves bolstering there OL, getting a few solid defensive pickups, and getting Bortles a pretty good weapon in Thomas. Losing Fowler sucks for them, but they did also get a good RB in the second round to help take the pressure off Bortles. I may more than likely be wrong, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a winning season out of them this year. There typically are teams that come out of no where to surprise everyone and I think that might be them this year

I also want to say that some of the moves the Bears made this offseason were good, I just think with a new coaching staff and a new defensive scheme...it may take a couple years before we start to see that jump.

But how long will it take USA Today to see us take that jump out of last place?
