What is your favorite coffee?

I am well aware that brewing your own coffee is going to be better than any chain coffee that you can buy. Those guys are in it to make a profit and it works.

If I am at work and need a pick me up, I can't just run home and brew my own coffee. I don't have a job where I can just leave and take an hour break. So in these situations, I find that Dunkin Donuts has the best coffee for me.

I prefer either Ritual or Philz beans. A close 2nd is Blue Bottle and Sight Glass. Medium roast, i find that the dark roasts obscure some of the nuances, and i prefer a balance (same as with wine).

Of equal importance is the delivery mechanism, got to go old school which in its purest form: french press. Those drip or keurig mechanisms are convenient but i would never consider utilizing either for a quality bean.

if i want drive thru cappuccino i go to mickey d's here. its not awful, theyve started serving their mccafe line through the drive through now.. its actually quicker if you are lazy and go through the drive thru because they prioritize it over the walk-in store orders. its the only thing i get from maccas anymore...

but i normally just have coffee at home...

DD coffee is loved by people that hate good coffee, or have never had real coffee. Kind of like dudes that think McD has quality burgers.

True (un-embellished) story: twice i have tried DD coffee, did not finish either cup, nasty shite IMO.

Tried it twice myself and didn't finish it either time. First time was a cup from the Union Station DD... took three sips and the rest went to the garbage can.

Dunkin' D coffee is bitter ass nasty.

yeah they started mccafe drive thru a awhile back in aus and got rid of that god awful drive thru pronto or whatever crap they were serving here.

MickeyD's has it up here also. He said it's"not awful", and better than their pronto crap. Faint praise indeed. It's a small step above gas station coffee,and they brew it so friigin hot, it often has a scorched smell and taste.

It'll do in a pinch, but don't expect anything much better than Dunkins.
