Andrew Luck was 35-30 against teams not named the Jaguars or Titans (at a time when both teams were consistently terrible).

Career 89 passer rating.

Career 60% completion percentage.

Luck, while still good, was wildly overrated.

I will never understand why the Colts hired Grigson to be the GM of the Luck era. If you want to talk about ruining a franchise QB, he gave the master class in how to accomplish that.

You legit just showed lob passes where justin set his feet and torqued his body

Caleb is a different level of beast. He's throwing this shit without his feet on the ground

I agree that Caleb has more talent.

But, at the same time, that doesn't mean we have to shit all over the great plays that Fields did make.

I do think that Caleb will have the better career, hopefully by a lot. Caleb's release is world's better and as we said before, he can make throws without a break in stride. Or even while jumping as you noted. If Caleb learns how to just efficiently run Ben Johnson's offense while retaining that special ability to make something out of nothing, the sky's the limit.

He was a turnover machine.

With that SOS I don't know if Caleb hits 4000 but if we're in games, and trying to win late, maybe he will. It wouldn't SHOCK me.

"the fact that you still want to argue about throws that Caleb attempted flat footed with no pressure in his face and still overthrow the WR by 3 yards is asinine."

Again Daniel....
Anytime you wanna break down film of CW's ....
flat footed" overthrows let me know.

Bring the footage and we'll analyze the protections & the passes.

Please this read again and lets follow through

Take @ILoveDick bet then, I don’t know the rules or his stakes if he loses but I’m sure he’ll be fair 😂

Drake Maye as Trevor Lawrence ceiling is oof level bad
The whole article stinks of lazy analysis.

JJ McCarthy = Joe Burrow because Justin Jefferson said it once.

Bo Nix has Sean Payton as HC so let’s just plug in Drew Brees here.

Caleb Williams ceiling = Jordan Love? That will definitely get Bears fans to click.

It’s all bad

Sure bud whatever you say with your brilliant hot take from some random stat someone else quoted, saying Andrew Luck is wildly overrated.

Bruce Arians worked with Peyton Manning Tom Brady and Big Ben and said Andrew Luck is the best QB he ever worked with.

Those were also games very early in the season and the offense was very disjointed and they had not played together much. Although funnily enough, the Colts game is where Odunze ended up with the most yardage,

No one is saying that Caleb doesn't have a lot of room to improve. He does. But it's dumb to act like after the shitshow that was the Bears coaching staff last year that Caleb is already a finished product, that he can't massively improve with Ben Johnson and his staff.

On the first pass the left side of the pocket was collapsing.
On the 2nd pass there looks like route miscommunication with the
Wr. #5 ran a deep hook. CW was throwing an out route. Also RG was being driven back into CW's face.
-------

I'm looking who was #5......it's Odunze #15
So the only way he'll ever be good is if he has an absolutely perfect pocket to throw from is the argument you're making.

Because great NFL QBs make those throes in their sleep, especially the first one. But keep your excuses lined up it's going to be a long season for you again.

The thing that's annoying about this footage is there's no blitz.
It's 5 on 5 pass pro and the OL fails CW.
It was a creative blitz package by Flores( who excels in this area). The LG had no one to block; the throw could have come out quicker to Swift in the flat and no pressure would have hit home. (But the angle wasn’t great)

Rome, inexplicably and predictably, ran into double coverage instead of to the sticks where it was open.

Caleb has his issues but that throw on 4th wasn’t his fault. Biggs notated this play in his follow up after the game.

Right.... on this one six came to the line. But a defender dropped back into zone coverage. It's hard to tell because we don't get a pre-snap look at the DL. It looks like a stunt on the left side.

I wish it had more time on it. Flores loves to make OL slide their protection at the last second but yet still not know who’s coming and who’s dropping. That’s how he excels at getting unblocked blitzes and opposing Linemen looking at air.
